About eight minutes into "Live With Regis and Kelly," everything went black. The power had gone off at the studio in Glendale, California, where they've been doing their show this week. Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa vamped for a couple of minutes before the lights came back. With the crowd cheering, Ripa joked that the lights returned because the audience clapped.
