Shakira Announces World Tour From Madrid

Colombian superstar Shakira announced plans for her 'Fijacion Oral' world tour from Madrid, Spain yesterday. She declined to reveal any details about the show itself, because then "it wouldn't be surprise." She did say that she was going to throw all of her physical energy and creativity behind it, because it is going to be the most important tour of her life.

The tour will begin in Spain and tour nine Spanish cities, before moving on to the rest of Europe, Latin America and the United States. It will launch in June, and continue through the end of the year.

Shakira also talked about working with Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean on the single, 'Hips Don't Lie,' which is included on her recently re-released 'Oral Fixation, Vol. 2' album. "It has been an amazing and different experience," she said. "He's a great rapper, and he's rapping 90 percent of the time."

Note: The majority of the press conference is in Spanish. Shakira's first response is about her tour, and her second response is about working with Wyclef.

2. Who cares?? How did a girl that sounds like a goat get to the same level as really really good singers?? Oh yeah, the shallow society we live in, where all that matters is marketing and a sexy body. If you took her to american idol or the apollo, along with Madonna and JLo, they all three would be ridiculed and boo'd off stage, immediatly. Come on really, a grammy ?? You have got to be kidding. Are you all deaf?
