Britney Sued by Paparazzo

TMZ has obtained a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by a paparazzo claiming that Britney Spears and her mother Lynne Spears are responsible for serious injuries he suffered when he was allegedly struck by an SUV carrying the pop princess.

The incident occurred in June 2004, when Spears, her sister Jamie Lynn and her mother Lynne were leaving a Santa Monica pet store. A number of paparazzi, including the plaintiff Cullen Reavley, crowded around the vehicle. The car, we're told, was owned by Lynne, she was also the one who was driving. Reavley fell to the ground, claiming Lynne ran over his foot. Police and paramedics were called and Reavley was taken to the hospital. Although police were called, they reportedly determined Lynne had done nothing wrong and she was not ticketed.

In the lawsuit, filed at the Beverly Hills Courthouse, Reavley claims he suffered injuries to the "head, neck, back, trunk and extremities, all of which have caused and continue to cause plaintiff great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering." The suit goes on to claim that the "injuries will result in permanent disability."

In addition to Britney, Reavley is suing Lynne and Britney Touring, Inc. for unspecified damages, in excess of $25,000.

A call to Britney's rep was not immediately returned.

32. He got what was coming to him. It was his own fault. Even if it had been the driver's fault it would have been exactly that, the driver's fault not Britney's. Britney's mother was driving and it was her vehicle, so why in the World is this idiot suing Britney and Britney Touring, Inc.. The ignorance of some people amazes me. I hope the judge tells this guy what an idiot he is. I want to be honest I am not a big fan of Britney's or anything, but it truly upsets me that she gets such a bad rep. for everything...my heart goes out to her. I may not like her music, but I do not think she is a bad person and the fact that people are kicking her while she is down is b.s..

34. This may sound harsh, but these paparazzi serve no useful purpose to anyone. They are a cancer on society. What horrible people. I think they should all be rounded up and rocketed into the sun, or gassed or something.

36. If the guy wasn't around the SUV he wopuldn't have gotten hurt. It is no ones fault but his own. I also think he is faking some of his injuries. He needs to get out of the way of moving SUVs.

40. That man is pathetic. He should have moved out of the way. You know he is pathetic and greedy to try to get run over to just sue them . I think that man got what he deserves. They should leave the spears clan alone. They are just trying to live a normal life like everyone else.

42. Dear Stupid Guy,
One could have only wished that they had ran over your worthless pathetic body, but you can tell you are another idiot trying to seek a little of someones hard earned cash the easy way out instead of working for it like honest people do everyday. Dude you seriously need to grow up and get a real job where you can earn a living instead of stealing it from hard working citizens.

43. "Reavley fell to the ground, claiming Lynne ran over his foot." How exactly somebody can claim that the SUV running over one's foot causes one to injure one's back and neck I'll never know. This guy (and most paparazzi for that matter) deserved it, and deserves one more for not letting it go!
