Britney Sued by Paparazzo

TMZ has obtained a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by a paparazzo claiming that Britney Spears and her mother Lynne Spears are responsible for serious injuries he suffered when he was allegedly struck by an SUV carrying the pop princess.

The incident occurred in June 2004, when Spears, her sister Jamie Lynn and her mother Lynne were leaving a Santa Monica pet store. A number of paparazzi, including the plaintiff Cullen Reavley, crowded around the vehicle. The car, we're told, was owned by Lynne, she was also the one who was driving. Reavley fell to the ground, claiming Lynne ran over his foot. Police and paramedics were called and Reavley was taken to the hospital. Although police were called, they reportedly determined Lynne had done nothing wrong and she was not ticketed.

In the lawsuit, filed at the Beverly Hills Courthouse, Reavley claims he suffered injuries to the "head, neck, back, trunk and extremities, all of which have caused and continue to cause plaintiff great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering." The suit goes on to claim that the "injuries will result in permanent disability."

In addition to Britney, Reavley is suing Lynne and Britney Touring, Inc. for unspecified damages, in excess of $25,000.

A call to Britney's rep was not immediately returned.

646. I personally hate Ms. Spears in the anti-fan of her career sort of way and under other circumstances would be more that happy to see her getting heat for sucking at life. But I hate paparazzi and this is just another reason why. It's not enough that they make their livelyhood off of exploiting a celebrity's privacy, but now this jackass is trying to sucker her out of her self earned money because he was too stupid to not crowd their personal car. #1) this guy is a total winey b**** #2) what a con man... an embarassment to anyone who knows you. How bout making a living a honest way. Britney Spears, has been pop sensation at least did that much. Get a real job or a talent Mr.

I may be just a dummy--------but if I am standing infront of --or dumb enough to try to get to the window and the car is starting to move?????? Well somthing in my brain says "MOVE STUPID"!!!!! It would never say OK lets get our FOOT run over and claim that it has hurt us so bad we will be on perm. disability.
I would guess that --just maybe ---all the brains are in the big toe?
That is worse than poor little Charlie Brown kicking the same football and taking a hard hit to the backside for many years, but he never sued Lucy----but CB is a (not too bright) child and a cartoon character.
Now ---that is an excuse---maybe this guy is the same??????

654. Being the paparazzi, they have to know these stars fear for their lives, the media is so agressive it is shameful. Hey, put yourselves in Brittany's place, and really look at the problems your causing, as media. If your the one pushing yourselves on these celeberities and you get hit by the car, this it is your own fault. You know they are going to try to escape your lunicy. Stay out of the way, or are you just an idiot.
They are talented, they entertain us everyday, we should be grateful, yet, they are treated like prisoners in their own home, everywhere they go they are treated just horrible.
There should be a law that the paparazzi has to keep a safe distance from these celeberties, 15 to 20 feet, or be arrested. The camera lenses they own would do the job, and not put the celeberty in fear of their lives. That means, there is no way they could be run over. This person must have been standing in the road, I have no pity for this idiot. Even children know better than this.
This lawsuit is a farce.

I am sick of paparazzi & feel no sympathy for him or anyone of them..for one thing, I DO NOT EVER BUY THOSE STUPID RAGIZINES AND IF OTHER'S WOULD QUIT BUYING THEM, SOON THEY WOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS..If I had the money to set myself up in Hollywood & NYC, I would spend my time following some of the most offending of the photog's around, 24'7..they couldn't get out of my site..and let them see how it feels to never have a minute of peace or privacy..I can't understand why some of the stars haven't united and hired a few people of do just that..hound them day and night..maybe then some of them would ease up and let the celebrities have a rest.
