Britney Sued by Paparazzo

TMZ has obtained a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by a paparazzo claiming that Britney Spears and her mother Lynne Spears are responsible for serious injuries he suffered when he was allegedly struck by an SUV carrying the pop princess.

The incident occurred in June 2004, when Spears, her sister Jamie Lynn and her mother Lynne were leaving a Santa Monica pet store. A number of paparazzi, including the plaintiff Cullen Reavley, crowded around the vehicle. The car, we're told, was owned by Lynne, she was also the one who was driving. Reavley fell to the ground, claiming Lynne ran over his foot. Police and paramedics were called and Reavley was taken to the hospital. Although police were called, they reportedly determined Lynne had done nothing wrong and she was not ticketed.

In the lawsuit, filed at the Beverly Hills Courthouse, Reavley claims he suffered injuries to the "head, neck, back, trunk and extremities, all of which have caused and continue to cause plaintiff great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering." The suit goes on to claim that the "injuries will result in permanent disability."

In addition to Britney, Reavley is suing Lynne and Britney Touring, Inc. for unspecified damages, in excess of $25,000.

A call to Britney's rep was not immediately returned.

92. That's a bunch of crap! If the car is moving, you step out of the way - it's simple as that. Britney & Lynn can't sit there all day waiting for them to move, they never would. And Britney cannot be blamed - she wasn't driving! I'm glad she wasn't in New York, I guess we would have put 9/11 on her too.
Besides, his FOOT was run over - I highly and seriously doubt his neck, back or trunk received ANY lasting injuries. And permanently disabled? Oh please. Someone call the oscars and nominate this fool for best leading actor in a drama film. Or comedy.

96. Okay, seriously, paparazzi are getting what they deserve for harassing these celebrities. Crashing into Lindsay Lohan, getting in the way of a moving vehicle---tough cookies, a**hole, next time, MOVE!! I would have deliberately hit him. Also, he can't get a dime of Brit's money if she wasn't the one driving...Im a paralegal, I know these things....Also, if his FOOT was run over, how does he figure he had damage to the head, neck, and extremities? If Brit's smart she'll countersue!!

98. The man is crazy, I would do the same in protecting any of my four children. He had no right to cross the line and touch your car. As far as I am concerned the cops did thier job and saw that you were not responsible in his stupid actions of trying to get a close up picture. Hang in ther Spears family your day is coming that the media and morons leave you and your family alone.
