16. I will never watch the view again, to have Rosie Odonnel take over Meredith's place is a disgrace. I couldn't stand Rosie when she had her own show.

17. i think the sending off of meredith was really in POOR taste. i'm glad to see her go . i'm not a fan of hers, by no means but mt heart went out to her kids and her husband, i think it was terrible the things that was said. i believe it should have had a RATING ON IT FOR THIS SHOW. i think the "BITCH" word is use to freely on this program anyway.MS.BARBARA i'm very surprised at you for even laughing, much less allowing this to have gone on.all i can say is SHAME ON YOU,STAR, AND ELIZABETH. i expect something like that out of meredith and joy. meredith i kinda have to second quess your motherhood to subject your children to such TRASH,GARBAGE.just for a rating or a laugh on your behalf. and yes i dont understand why rosie. i quess you went from a straight person who talked so freely bout sex as meredith did now to a lesi who will be sahring her pillow talk. I 'AM TOTALLY NOT EVER GOING TO WATCH AGAIN! don't think its gonna last any way.one last thing, i noticed that star looked a little embarrased,star as a christians woman you should have had nothing to do with the program. or said something!! thanks cindy

18. I to feel this show today was lousy. The only good part I like is when Meridith son talk about how he felt running around and talking to star.He call her aunt Star. It really was low budget. I went out run back to see that, what a waste of my time. I feel the view is going down. I feel after Meridith say she was leaving I knew every thing would go down and fast. 20. I thought the View farewell to Meredith was just fine.
Lighten up people. It was a roast. It was meant to be funny.

I for one am sad to see her go.

The one that drives me nuts is Elisabeth.
She is overly oppioniated and goes ON and ON.

Barbara should have been there. She is the creator of the show.

21. I really like Meredith and think that they could have put on a better send off for her than they did. I was surprised that Barbara Walters allowed some of the sexual comments to be made, having Meredith's children there. I wish all the best to Meredith, I know she will do well and will bring a great following with her to the show. As for Rosie O'Donnel, I always liked her show, she has a good heart. Whenever she found out of a person in need she did her best to help and alert her audience to the problem. Why don't we all give the new member a chance. How do you know how you will fell unless you give it a try? She and Meredith are totally different personalities but it would be boring if we all were the same. They will all have there own unique talents to add to a great mix of entertaining thoughts.

22. I hate I didn't see the show today, I usually watch it,but couldn't today. I really like Elizabeth, but she's the only one left with any class or pride . Star, Barbara, and Joy do not have anything going for them... As for Rosie; why not give her a chance, she deserves a spot on that show more than Star Jones or Barbara Walters.. They both stink,,, Joy is okay, but not someone that I will spend my time watching.
Oh yeah, Meridith wasn't all that either. good luck people; I will just move on to some other program, not because Meridith is gone but because that show offers nothing!!

23. I have been watching The View for a long, long time. Meredith gave it class. The farewell was pathethic !!! She deserves better. The word "bitches" came up , a bit too much.

I think the show will be nothing more than a group of bickering females. Am switching channels

25. I made it a special point to watch the send off for Meredeth. How insulting to her and her family to listen to sexual comments in her children's presence. Is it not a daytime show? Have we forgotten that Meredith Viera is the "View." Barbara, what were you thinking? Not too mention inviting Rosie O'Donnell as her replacement. NO CONTEST. Regretfully, I will no longer be viewing the "View," and I would also expect this show to be cancelled in the very near future.

Meredith deserved more than what was done by her co-workers........Barbara Walters role was terrible.........infact no one that roasted her was funny.......Felt sorry for her family, and Meredith's usual big smile didn't look sincere that she thought it was funny. Meredith deserved more !!!!!!! The piano player (Rhoade Island) was the best part of the show ! I could of been watching Regis & Kelly...........

27. I was sorry to see Meredith leave the View. I am an occasional watcher, but I thought Meredith was usually intelligent and thoughtful in her remarks. She
never seemed as "full of herself" as some of the others, particularly Star and Barbara. I agree with a lot of the posters that the final show was a letdown. It seemed the participants tried to see how many times they could say "bitch." I also felt badly for Meredith's family. I think it would have been a lot better without Gilbert and Mario. Although I think they are both funny comedians, I don't think their material was right for Meredith's last show. Anyway, it will be interesting to see how The View changes after Rosie arrives. I'm looking forward to it - I'd like to see Star squirm a little!

28. I started watching the View this year. Meridith made the show. She is a class act, but I felt that her farewell "roast" was BORING and TASTELESS. She deserved a much classier FAREWELL. She will definitely be an asset to the Today Show. I will not watch the VIEW if Rosie O'Donnell hosts the show.
She is obnoxious, and she is NOT funny. Elisabeth is so cute and perky and did not belong on such a distasteful show. She has more character than to make a fool of herself. The announcement that Meridith was leaving, and being "replaced" with Rosie made me ill. She will never replace MERIDITH. All I can say is Good Luck to Meridith and to the others left behind.

29. I think Meredith is a great person and her family. It's a shame that the roast was a sham. I would never want any one to disgrace me or my family the way she was today. She deserved better, much better. She will do great on the Today Show they are lucky to have her. The View , will never be the same. I felt so bad for her and her family this morning.

30. I too watched the "view " this morning, and was disappointed in the show. Meredith is such a lady, and didn't deserve the "roast "that she got. Something I read a short time ago is that no one on the show got along w/ Star...I wonder if this is true. Maybe that's why Meredith chose to leave. Good luck to her, I'm sure she will do just great on her new show.
