Meredith's 'Brokeback' Farewell

31. I am very sorry to see Meredith Viera leave * The View* but wish her much success and happiness in all she endeavors. I love Joy and Elizabeth in the show too. Why OH why would Meredith get replaced with Rosie O'Donnell? I have always been a faithful and regular viewer, but now my choice will be to tune in the very talented and funny Ellen whose show airs in the same time slot!!!!

32. I always liked Meredith and feel that she will do great in her new endeavor and that there will be many of of following her over to watch the today show. I was disapppointed to see the last show because I thought they would have had a better send off for her. I was surprised that Barbara Walters allowed some of the comments to be made especially with Meredith's children being there. As for having Rosie O'Donnel on the show, I really don't look at it as taking Meredith's place but adding to the group that they already have. I honestly like the show she had. She has a good heart and whenever she heard of some unjustice she always tried to right it and let her audience know about it. She helped many people on her show and for that I applaude her. Give her a chance. I think she will add to the show because they will all bring their unique thoughts and talents to some very interesting topics to discuss. I say long live THE VIEW! And to Meredith I say I know you will do well, all of life's best to you and your family.

36. I wonder why no one has asked any questions about the Joan Rivers comment regarding Joy leaving the show and it being glossed over in that manner. Actually, I think that Joy is the only co-host worthy of her own show. I love her. Just what America needs.......a good dose of the truth......no matter how much it hurts!!! You Go Joy!!!

38. I had been looking foward to this last show because I hated to see Meredith leave and I thought it would be a really good sendoff. WELL!! I was so embarrassed for her husbav=nd and children. Most of the material was utterly tasteless at best, vulgar at worst. I expected better of Barbara Walters. There was no need to to take such a low road. I feel no need to continue watching that show.

40. I too was an avid fan of the view but after todays fairwell(as it was called) for Meredith I too was embarrased for her family. There's a time and place for everything and this was not it .Watching the show I felt for her children mostly.I think Star and Eliizabeth had the best comments and it came from their hearts. The audience(shown by the cameras) seemed ill at ease also like I felt at home.Babara,I think you could have done much better than this as I felt alot of the guests comments and language were inapropriate for alot of your viewers.
I think at a comedy club, okay, but then you'de know in advance to go or not !!!

41. I think that the farewell for Merideth was the worst farewell I've ever seen! And as for Joy kissing Merideth like that! What was she thinking? The part that was the absolute worse was when Merideth reffered to her co-hosts as BItc......! I will never watch your show again! I was appauled and embarrassed to say the least. Poor taste ABC. I'm sure I wasn'nt the only one who thought the show was in
poor taste! ABC should cancel the show.

42. Sad part is I missed the last show with Meredith Viera! Personally I rarely watch the show but when I do watch it, it's mainly because Meredith was on it, let's face it "The WOMAN'S HOT"! As for Star, Barbara, and Eliabeth well the show would be an improvement if they all left. not because of their looks! Truth is I find the three of them to be VERY boring. Joy has her moments and is also a pretty hot woman! (Joy if you're reading this get out NOW!) Meredith was a total babe with a great personality. What a MAJOR loss for the view.

Having said all that, let me comment on Meredith's replacement. ROSIE O"DONNEL? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I couldn't stand her when she had her own show! Rosie it totally obnoxious! (This has nothing to do with her being a lesbian either, as I rather like lesbians!) Only thing I regret about missing Merediths final show was Joy and Meredith locking lips!.. Make a show of Meredith and Joy locking lips everyday and that's a show I'd watch!... As for the "New View"... I give it a month till it gets yanked.

43. I love the View, and I am very sad that Meredith is leaving. Like everyone else she made the show. I love Star, Elisabeth, Joy, and Barbara but to put Rosie on the show is sicking. And I doubt very seriously that I will watch this show again.

44. I've enjoyed the view for nine years---since Merediths going, I am too. The group was good the way it was, but I'm afraid it's good days are gone. I really admire each one of "the girls" and I wish them well, but the glue that made it all work has gone. Rosie is a "one woman" show and how many shows last past 10 years???

45. I love the View. I am sad that Meredith is leaving the show. Like everyone else I will miss her very much. I love Star ( which by the way looks fantastic), Elisabeth. and Ms.Barbara, all of whom are funny. I wish Meredith all the luck on the Today Show and I know you will do well. I think the View could have picked someone beside Rosie do replace Meredith. Good Luck Meredith. I am sure I will not be watching the View any longer.
