32. I don't understand why this girl gets away with everything. Do you notice how everytime an accident occurs, her publicist says the same thing. "I just want to point out that Paris was not in the vehicle." Give me a break! She obviously needs to quit lending people her car. It's funny how she's never in the the car, but it's always her car involved.

33. True, she was not in the car. But, technically she can still be held liable because she owns the car. Same goes for all of us "commoners". If I let a friend/family borrow my car and they get in an accident, the registered owner whether present or not CAN be sued. If I don't have enough insurance coverage on my vehicle they can sue me for my house and any other assets. Of course, they can still sue the friend/family driving the car for the same things. Yes, it sucks but it's true.

36. Wow I think some of the people who posted comments are even more stupid than Paris. First let's just get this out. . . .Paris Hilton partied her way to the top. She is famous because she can party harder than anyone and at some point, Page six, US Weekly ect. was going to notice. I think most people are haters becuase they didn't think of it first. Not the most traditional route to break into show business but it worked didn't it?

Second if she wasn't driving the car these jokers are just suing her becuase they think they can get something. They waited 2 years to file??? Sounds a little fishy to me.

37. First and foremost who really cares there are more pressing and interesting news in the world then Paris hilton. The thing is that although to most shes is a nobody and they are giving her celebrity statis for winning the lottery in the gene poll game of life. She is known through out the world as the dingy b.....ch from america and little girls are idolizing her as if she is a god. When in fact her parents probably paid the school off to pass her and allow her to graduate. The fact is I feel sorry for her. To go through life having to put your self out there to be the dingy b..ch, to show the world you would have an intimate act of having sex broad casted just to sell your self just to get recognition. There are prostitutes and call girls with more class then her.

38. Yes Paris was born into a wealthy family..that is great for her. But I feel sorry for her too. How would you like it never to have a moment to your self and never be able to go anywhere and not be photographed, it would be miserable after awhile. Like someone said, she was't even there. How is it her fault?
I like Paris Hilton. I bet she is a very sweet, kind person. She has feelings like everyone else.
Unless you know her personally, how can you say such mean things about her.

40. I agree Paris Hilton was not driving the car but she apparently loaned this car to her "cousin." The cousin was at fault and should lose her driving privileges as well as pay for all damages. That does not mean Paris should be let off the hook because she allowed this cousin to have her car. She has to share some of the responsibilty but not all of it.

43. why the hell was paris even involved in this incident she wasnt even driving the damn car. i know paris is really stupid she is just a body with no brains. but why do they feel like she has to give $250,000 to them. my sister was in a similar accident when she was putting a CD in to the CD player she wasnt paying attention and slammed into her friend totalling her car and scratching her friends car but yet she didnt have to pay a penny except the cost of a new car and the towing of her old one. i think paris is just so stupid that she will just pay the fee to get it over with, just like she would in any other situation, buy her way out of it.
