Hicks Tops People's `Hottest Bachelors' List

NEW YORK (AP) -- "American Idol" Taylor Hicks is ranked as the No. 1 "hottest bachelor" by People magazine -- and he's looking for love.

The 29-year-old silver-haired crooner tops People's list in the magazine's new issue, on newsstands Friday. But the "Idol" winner says he'd happily give up his bachelor days.

"There's been no time," Hicks says of his dating life. "Now,I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with the right woman."
 
Hicks also wants to find a woman he exchanged glances with on a recent airline flight. Of the mystery blonde, he says, "We waved and did a double-take look. It seemed like something out of a movie."

The magazine has set up e-mail and mailing addresses for the mystery woman to contact Hicks. The singer will also perform the song "Possibilities" in a new commercial for the Ford Motor Co., it was announced Wednesday.

Other "hot" bachelors -- who aren't ranked by the magazine -- are several celebrities no longer involved in high-profile romances, including Matthew McConaughey (ex-boyfriend of Penelope Cruz), Nick Lachey (formerly married to Jessica Simpson), Jake Gyllenhaal (who dated Kirsten Dunst) and Kenny Chesney (briefly married to Renee Zellweger). The list also includes Ryan Seacrest, Jamie Foxx, Owen Wilson and Wentworth Miller.

48. I would like to add that it is interesting to a huge group of us that Taylor Hicks used the logo, "Soul Patrol" to identify with his image. There is a website, Soul Patrol, that is geared to the African-American audience which I am a member. How in the world does Taylor think he is going to prosper from using Soul Patrol?We believe he is trying to insinuate that he loves our race. First of all, whenever he sings down south where we are from, he never sings anything but country especially at LULUs. He may have gotten some votes to make him believe he is an idol, but the true test will prove if he has raw talent. We cannot wait. As a journalist, I waiting for the news.

53. Taylor Hicks is one handsome man. I don't think Chris Daughtry and Elliot Yamin is that hot, but their singing are good, especially Chris. I think Taylor is so cute and silly when he was on the ground of the end of singing Play That Funky Music. Whenever I listen to his songs or look at his pictures of him, I start to blush and my heart starts to beat fast. I have like a huge crush on him. He's incredibly hot!
Oh - I just want to say to Taylor, "Good job!

55. Taylor may be a nice guy.....but the hottest......I don't think so. I want to see a birth certificate to prove this 29 thing!!! He looks older than me........and I am definitely older than 29!!! As for the blonde passenger thing........Taylor get over it!!! If......and that's a BIG IF.....she gave you a double take she was probably just making sure it was an Idol winner she just saw. I'm sick of hearing about this blonde passenger story.........if she was so into you......I'm thinking she would have taken some initiative and talked to you and you wouldn't be wasting cyperspace to try to get in contact with her!!! Let it go!!! And as for hottie........give me Elliott Yamin!!! Now that boy is a hottie. Elliott if you like older women........look me up!!! lol ;-)

56. There is absolutely no doubt that Chris was good, very good !! I think his style of music may have hurt him on American Idol. Personally, I liked Taylor Hicks from the start of American Idol. I was very happy that Taylor Hicks won. I loved his singing, but along with that, the fact that he simply can't stand still is GREAT. I
just think his "Taylor' Shake" is wonderful. He could do that SHAKE for me ANYTIME !!!!!!!! I love his beautiful hair too.

57. I LOVE TAYLOR! I'm only 14, and I would die to marry him. He's so genuine and sincere, has such a soulful voice, and is just like me--- shy but when on stage energetic. Taylor also has great eyes, the most amazing smile I've EVER seen, and of course... his trademark gray hair. I just love everything about him. Whoever ends up spending the rest of their life with Taylor is extremely lucky!

58. Taylor Hicks has been a gift to those of us who got busy doing life & forgot how much fun music & dancing were, how much we'd missed it and how much we love it~! In our house, every female got up and rocked with Taylor week after week. For those who love CHRIS, please remember the guy has a sweet wife & two kids ages 7 & 9.
Deanna Daughtry has been 110% supportive of Chris getting to live out his dream and become a star. But I worry about their marriage. No one ever seems to remember he has a family who also love him. How much temptation can any marriage survive? Let's all pray CHRIS keeps his priorities straight even while he makes it big as a gifted entertainer. I believe he will if given half a chance. During A.I. he said something like he was annoyed that the teachers at his kids school only wanted to talk to them about their dad and American Idol. He said, "That's not their job--My kids are at school to get an education. How can teachers be so immature?" Good for you, Chris! Never forget that Deanna loved you when no one else knew your name, baby.

60. Can I be that blonde lady (even if I am brunette) on the airplane ( even if I haven't flown lately) ??? I can be all he wants me to be LOL - I think Mr. Hicks is clearly what we have needed as an Idol for a long time - Hollywood standards can stay in CA.
