Claws Come Out On "The View"

Barbara must want both Star and Elisabeth to quit because we all know Rosie does not get along with Star but now Elisabeth is against gay marriages and everyone knows that is Rosie's thing...I am no fan of The View because I am working when it is on and probably would not watch anyway but it seems to me it is going to turn into the normal run of the mill talk show like what existed in the early 80s when talks shows began to be the 'in' thing. Too bad - I think this show and its host are a waste of time and money. Meredith was the only classy person on the show.

19. Don't you people get it. The point of the show is to offer different VIEWS on things. If everyone was conservative, or liberal, there would be NO show! I like the fact each host stands up for what they believe it. It makes it a much better program to watch.

21. Don't you people get it. The point of the show is to share the VIEW! I think its great that Elisabeth gets into it with people. How freakin boring would the show be if there were a bunch of liberals, or conservatives for that matter, talking about current events.

25. I've got to say, thank GOD for Elizabeth. It's about time someone stood up for the sancity of marriage on national television; half the time we cannot even get our Legislature's to do that! I think she has class, of which, Sandra lacks. I support and share her views and I honestly believe the majority of America does too.

28. I've watched the View for a long time, and have tolerated Star and now Elisabeth because of Meredith and Joy. I don't have a problem with Star and Eliz expressing their opinions but I do have a problem with their condescending attitude about everything. I saw the show that was referenced with the discussion on gay marriage, and I was gagging on Star's explanation for marriage - which I might find interesting if she herself was in a legit marriage. Eliz Repbulican commentary on the topic of the day is boring and tiresome. Why does everything have need a political reference or interpretation? The day she agreed with Ann Coulter's statements about the 9/11 widows was the last straw for me.

As for Sandra B and her comment about Laura Bush... I don't see why Star and Elizabeth jumped all over her when it wsa acceptable for Eliz to question the 9/11 widow's intentions.

WIth Meredith gone, I can barely stomach the show. Barbra is screechy and boring, Star is condescending and self-centered, Joy always is trying to make a joke, and Eliz naively preaches the Republican party line.

Will Rosie save it? Don't know, but I doubt Rosie and Star will last long, and then it's just a matter of time before Elizabeth walks.

30. Ummm, people, the name of the show is called THE VIEW. If Elisabeth has an opposing view on the subject, that's what makes the show interesting! What would be interesting about a show that has 4 people sitting around and nodding their heads in agreement on every issue?
