Claws Come Out On "The View"

I admire someone like Elizabeth for being a beautiful young woman with enough morale and intellingence to defend her beliefs instead of taking some celebrities viewpoint and choking it down. They do call it the View- so why is a conservative view so readily balked at? What good does it accomplish to sit on a show and say what Sandra said as if we are all suppose to think it is SO funny and then get angry when someone offers up a defense? How dare those of you who criticize Elizabeth for saying "wait a minute I will not stand for this kind of tongue in cheek comment, here is what I believe." Tell me what sense this makes and why Elizabeth is being labeled as ignorant etc. when she actually is standing up for her beliefs and thinking for herself reguardless of where that puts her in the public eye?!

So what was it that Sandra Bernhardt said that was soooo terrible? That Laura Bush looks "heavily-medicated"?? Call the Secret Service, I think we have a serious National security issue. Please get over it. Way worse can be said about the entire Bush family and you know what? I won't even include the current administration.
And as for the View, I love the show. I really do. But Elizabeth needs to be REPLACED. As the only representative for young women, she is so far off-base with the majority viewpoints of this group.

This used to be a great show to watch, but now it's turned into a "Jerry Springer" type of show. Having people like Sandra on the show and then adding Rosie O'Donnel to the mix? I'm done with that show. I think there's some good mexican soap operas on at the same time. I can't understand a word of spanish, but I'm sure that will beat the hell outta the View.

Did someone actually use the term "commie" ? Are you serious ?? Elizabeth is just sad. Sandra is intelligent and funny. Yes, she has a sense of humour...know what that is ??

Elizabeth Hassleback is not very bright and I''m really not sure how she got on The View. I'm not a big Sandra Bernhard fan but at least she has some knowledge to back up her views. Hassleback is a right wing jingoistic airhead.

I don't mind listening to Republicans if they are intelligent and can support their views with facts, but I cringe watching Hassleback make a fool of herself on national TV.

Elizabeth is a "nice" girl but doesn't have the grit or the soul of a tv news personality. I think she should be a spokeswoman for Betty Crocker on the food network or knit booties on pbs. Please Barbara, take Star (Her new look is ghoolish) and Elizabeth off the show. Please bring Lisa Ling back. Now there is a incredible young lady!!!!

I am so sick of Elizabeth Hasselback & her politics! She is like a republican robot - not adding anything new - just spewing the same buzzwords back & forth. Plus, she acts like it's her way or no way. All I can say is that I feel very sorry for her family because she is one frigid bitch!

Elizabeth Hassleback has to defend the first lady...they are both high profile women that ascended to their by doing nothing...Elizabeth constantly says ignorant things. Her views are archaic and I'm very disturbed that ABC chose her to represent my age group.

Elizabeth and Star BOTH need to go! I agree with previous comment, that Elizabeth is the reason I stopped watching the show. She is a horrible representation of women of my generation. And how about her resume? Why does she think that she is the expert on politics? Because she was on Survivor, or that she is married to a professional athlete? She is pathetic. I hope Rosie doesn't hold back when she gets on the show. Elizabeth is in desperate need of an ass-kicking!

Sorry the hag should shut up! You cant watch anything anymore without someone bashing the Bushes! Honestly we have become a country of hate!

All of the woman at "the view" are nuts. JOY is the load mouth who only likes Catholics and Italians, Elizabeth is the dumb one, Star is a ok but she still gets on my nerves at time, and even Meredith was annoying. These woman are NOT qualified to talk about NO ONE, let alone trying to tell a celebrity or anyone on how to behave.

I have to say that I watched the episode this morning and really thought that the poop was going to hit the proverbial fan!!!!!!! I personally dont care for Elizabeth however had Sandra referred to Barbara,Star or Joy as honey thier reactions would have been the same. How rude and arrogant for any adult to speak to another adult in such a patronizing way. Sandra needs to realize that being described as a "B" list personallity would be generous at this point in her career. Politics are a tough subject and I am not a fan of our "run in blind and hope for the best " president. I think he is rather irresponsible in the way he runs our country, however I respect the things that Laura Bush has done to attempt to make things better for our countries children, the effort she makes is more than most people can be bothered to do. Elizabeth should be applauded ( did I just say that ) for her backbone and the rest of the host's should be shamed for thier avoidance of the blatant disrespect shown by Sandra... she spoke as if she were doing a favor to people for being there. I find her overbearing and rude along with being a very intelligent person who seems to have forgotten just how to talk to people with kindness and a little tact. More importantly if the view continues to allow guests to wreck havoc w/ thier show they will be cancelled in the short term. I miss meridith already but have always loved Rosie and I am certain that she will bring this show to another level and restore the respectful tone of the show along with bringing some much needed fun to the show. IF the show doesnt get cancelled before she get there September 5th is a long way off you know.

Just goes to show you. Opinion's are like a-holes, everybodys got one. The whole purpose of the view is to discuss differences of opinions however, Elizabeth got a little hot under the collar because of Sandra's comment. Why, I dont know because after all, they did ask her what she thought about Hilary - and they got her answer. They might not have liked it, but they got it. I fully support anyone who has the balls to say what they think and not sugar coat it. I dont really care for Sandra, but I think she is straight to the point and she dont beat around the bush with what she thinks. Some folks think that is rude, but if you dont wanna know, then dont ask the question.
