"Deal or No Deal" Catches McPheever

31. Katherine might be beautiful and she might be talented, however she is certainly NOT an "American Idol." In my opinion, she could have gotten famous on her own with her mother behind her, pushing away, like they had been doing since she was very young. I think American Idol is about searching for an unknown talent who normally would not get anywhere because their resources are not strong. Katherine is not my idea of what the show is all about.

Katharine showed nothing but class throughout the entire (admittedly often tacky) process of American Idol - she actually registered genuine happiness on her face when Taylor won, which also indicates grace - and I got the impression that her speaking out about her bulemia was to help others who may be struggling with the same thing.

Come on people - it's so blatantly obvious that anyone slamming the poor girl is simply jealous because she's lovely and has a great singing voice - and she actually bothered to try out for something like American Idol instead of just sitting on her couch and moaning like most people do who have no ambition. Get over yourselves. And best wishes to Kat!

34. I'm not an AI fan at all. In fact, I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen the show or part of it. I am a Katharine fan though simply because she has both ingredients a person needs to be a star.......great looks and plenty of talent. Anyone who says she doesn't have personality is way off base. She has shown good personality. She isn't Brittany Spears and certainly isn't Gwen Stefani or Courtney Love. They are their own respective persons and so is Kat. Also, anyone who doubts Ms. McPhee's personality needs to ask themselves,"If Kat and I were at a party,who would receive more attention?" She's the total package . That's it.

35. I totally agree with people who are upset with the ones bashing Kat. As far as i'm concerned, she is beautiful, has a great voice and i'd like to see any of these people who bash any of these kids try to get up in front of millions of people and Simon Cowell and take all the critisim. The stress is unreal, I know I for one; couldn't handle it. You go girl, don't take sh** from anyone.. and if she is with a 41 yr old its probably because he treats her like a Queen. I say good for her.

38. Great appearace, Great Voice, and I think she tries very hard with the personality but just not socially mature under pressure. That will come with experience. How many times have you been asked unexpected questions in front of a crowd and not been able to fumble and adequate answer in time, hence... being mistaken as "no personality". I was disappointed at her response to the question "how much support has your family been/what role has your family had to get you to this point"... she seemed flustered at that question - and failed to give them the recognition that the probably deserved. But, I don't think that means that she does not pay them respect. That part of her public role will grow and solidify with experience I think. Give the girl a chance. Work with her, not against her. Enjoy your singing Kat, thanks.

39. Just cannot believe that some of you are still bashing Kat and talking about her personality. What do you know about her personality? One would question yours. She is a lovely young woman who has tried hard to be wehre she is and where she desrves. Let her be. If you don't like her, focus on something else. Take at a look at your own self and try to improve that.

40. While American Idol was showing the competition everyone thought Katharine was chubby, now they say "we knew she was too skinny." What a laugh. People can say anything they want anytime they want, but they can't take away the fact that Kat lasted til the end, has a wonderful head start on her career, has admitted her weaknesses, was graceful and genuine when she didn't win, has a life of her own regardless of who wants to slam it, and ... and ... she gets the last laugh on all you Kat bashers. I think I'll join her...hahahahahaha heeeeeeheee.

41. Now I don't want to be labeled as a Katherine basher, but I don't think that her dresses were all that stunning. She has a beautiful face, and beautiful hair, but I don't think the dresses she wore (especially on the finale) did her justice.

42. I really thought that Katherine should have won AI. She had a beautiful voice and was a beautiful girl from all I could see. I got so sick of seeing Taylor jumping all over the stage with his much less quality of voice. He was the same in every appearance. Booring! Just like Chris...no diversity, stuck in a rut.

45. I love American Idol. I can't say that I was a big fan of Katherine, but I was really pulling for Taylor either. I'm happy though that big artist are getting publicity though. She is a beautiful girl and has a great voice. I wish her well.
