66. As someone who was raised a Catholic and someone who is about to be married for a second time I believe I can shed some light on the subject. If you marry outside of the Catholic church (civil ceremony with a justice of the peace or a judge as I did the first time) the church doesn't recognize it as you being married. My church was more than willing to allow me to get married this time in the church because of that. Nicole and Keith were also allowed to marry in the church because Keith had never been married before. Had he been married before the church would've only allowed them to marry if he had gotten his first marriage annulled. That is what happened to me. The church wasn't concerned with my first marriage but because my fiance had been previously married they wanted him to pay $1300 to get it annulled. So we opted to have our wedding done outside the church again. Best Wishes Nicole and Keith!! You two make a GREAT couple and I wish you all the best!

67. I'm just curious... why does it matter? Except to the members of the Catholicism cult. Really - all of their rules and rituals are not biblical anyway. Find me one place in the Bible that describes all these rules about what constitutes a SACRAMENTAL marriage, or not allowing marriage to be recognized unless both parties are "Catholic." All of those rules and the paperwork (and monitary consideration) that go along with it were created by men, long after the Perfect and Complete Word of God was finished. For that matter - find me one place in the Bible where they sprinkle a newborn baby and call it "baptism." What book did they get all these rules and rituals from? Because it wasn't the Bible.

68. For those asking what happened to Tom and Nicole's marriage: She ended up pregnant and Tom soon filed for divorce saying, "She knows what she did". I believe Tom is STERILE and that if Nicole got pregnant, she obviously cheated on him. That's why it is beyond belief that Katie's baby is Tom's.

71. My ex husband and I were married in a Lutheran Church, 13 years later he needed our marriage anulled. I was his first and he got married a second time and this was his third. I had to fill out a questionare on why I thought that our marriage didn't work and send it back in, 30 days later the marriage was anulled, after the divorce.

Congratulations to Nicole and Keith !!!! I hope you both will be very happy. I am glad you're rid of that jerk Tom Cruise.....

72. If Tom is "sterile" as you state, and Nicole actually "got pregnant" at some point, then that means that not only Nicole cheated on Tom, but Katie would have had to cheat on Tom while they were dating too. (If you recall, Katie became pregnant 4 months after she and Tom started dating).

If Nicole is noticibly pregnant now, then she obviously concieved prior to getting married to Urban - a big no-no in Catholocism. But none of the rest of the world really cares about when you concieve, as long as the child has two parents and is loved.

Tom and Penelope met and started dating almost a year after Tom and Nic divorced if I recall correctly. So to call her a "homewrecker" is a really far stretch.

74. i'm happy for nicole and i hope her hubby and her will be very happy together, and this will last. tom's an idiot anyways, and anyone who marries him, is too. as far as the catholic church rewriting history and recognizing only marriages they want to, i don't agree with. ok, so she asked the church to do this, so she could still be married in the catholic church, but wouldn't the fact, they adopted children together, and were apparently living in sin all that time, make a difference to the church? wouldn't that also turn these innocent children into bastards? feel sorry for them, that her marriage,and being married in the catholic church, means more to her, than the legitimacy of her children... kinda sad, i think, also, if the church says they were never married, and if tom ever had to pay spousal support or alimony, shouldn't he be able to get that back, i mean, seein as how, they were never married and all, i swear, sometimes i think it's the celebs, who twist and turn our world upside down, for the betterment of them, and to hell with all of us... what's up with that?? i bet for a commoneer, the church would never go so far as to look for any kind of a loophole like this, to benefit them. also, i do believe that the reason tom and nicole did adopt, is bcuz nicole is unable to have children of her own. sad. but that might also be nicole's saving grace as to no children before she got married this time around. i wonder if, she would've bore her own children, if the catholic church, would've still found this loophole, and if nicole still would've taken it... is blood thicker than water?? regardless, i just wonder what this does to the children?? guess, that's all i have to say, thank for allowing me the space and oppertunity.
