George Clooney Hooks Up With Elvis' Ex

Exclusive: Linda Thompson and George Clooney
Love was in the air in Lake Como, Italy, last week, when George Clooney was spotted romancing lyricist Linda Thompson, the longtime live-in love of Elvis Presley.

Sources tell TMZ the couple was spotted dining late into the evening with friends at the swanky Villa D'Este resort. The next day, 'Captain' George took Thompson, the ex of Olympian Bruce Jenner and songwriter David Foster, on a sunset boat ride around Lake Como. We're told Thompson stayed the night at Clooney's villa and left the next morning.


Clooney has been a busy man of late. Last week, he was sharing a motorcycle seat with on-and-off girlfriend Krista Allen.

4. I think he's back with Krista and as soon as the press released pics of him and Krista - his people released the story of him dining with someone else.
It's the way stars throw the press of the scent of thier love life.
I'd look out for a wedding soon.

8. I can't stand the arrogance of George Clooney. I would not walk across the street to see that conceited jerk. I do not see why so many women are attracted to him. He's made it a point to be the swinging bachelor so let the old guy go on with his ugly self. He has not aged well at all. And, as far as him being with Elvis ex-girlfriend, I don't care if she is older, she is still too good for him. He just wanted to go where Elvis has been!

10. Mr. Clooney is about as convincing as Rock Hudson was, at being heterosexual. George Clooney has never been romantically /seriously linked with any female in his career, or before his career. He even admitted that his idea of an ideal evening , was one in which he enjoyed the company of, " his buddies", "getting together & having a couple of beers, without any women". He has stated, on many occasions, that he does not date any woman regularly, & has no intentions of getting married, now, or in the future. He has made these comments on several talk shows,( i.e. David L., Rosie O'D., Ellen, Jay L.)After all, if that's not telling on yourself, what is?

11. How could he tell it was Linda Thompson? Just like Elvis' other Ex--Pricilla Presley...Linda's had so much plastic surgery that she looks like a freak. When will these Beautiful women stop ruining themselves and age gracefully? A little nip and tuck here and there is ok...but these women now look just plain strange...

12. George is living la dolce vita! Has a beautiful villa in Italy, lots of money, lots of dames! He is also a heavy drinker and looks it! Life is finally catching up to Georgeous George -- he looks like he is 60 years old! Having a romantic relationship with GC is nothing I would brag about. Who would want a man who has been around as much as he's been. And he's really old news!

15. I am an attractive 27 year old professional who would choose George Clooney over any other artist in a New York minute (provided, of course, that he wasn't a cad, which we all know he is). He is both sexy and intelligent - full of ideas and passion. And, as one quickly learns, the money doesn't hurt...

So for all of you Bill O'Reilly-watching naysayers, do yourselves a favor - pick up a book (Ann Coulter doesn't count) and read. Better yet, grab a Harper's magazine (no, NOT Harper's Bazaar). Or buy a DVD - starting with Good Night and Good Luck or Syriana.

George Clooney is an asset and honor to his profession, as well as to the nation. The world needs more artistic voices like his to draw attention to issues affecting all of us - issues like how "important" the Flag-Burning Amendment was to our domestic and foreign policy. Insert eye-rolling here, followed by a shout out to all of the Senators with enough sense and respect for the Constitution to shoot the ridiculous piece of legislation down.
