Police Raids Over Jolie-Pitt Baby Shower

TMZ has learned the FBI and Massachusetts authorities raided a Westfield, Mass. home Tuesday night and seized photos of a baby shower held by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

It's a bizarre story that starts in Namibia, where the shower was thrown. James Haven, Jolie's brother, took a number of pictures in Namibia. When he returned to L.A., his camera broke so he took it to Best Buy where the camera was purchased, and asked them to fix it under the warranty. Best Buy sent the camera to Precision Camera and Video Repair in Enfield, Connecticut.

Sources tell TMZ that two employees at Precision, Bill Keyes and Adam Beckwith, discovered the pictures in the digital camera. We're told that Keyes told authorities that Beckwith downloaded the photos.

Keyes mother, Madelon, told TMZ that her 36-year-old son was excited, showed her the pictures and sent an email to someone in California. Sources say the email may have been an attempt to sell the photos. Madelon Keyes told TMZ, "I don't think he would do something like that."

A sergeant from the Westfield Police Department confirmed with TMZ that authorities searched Keyes' home and seized his computer. The sergeant also said a search warrant was executed at Precision Camera and Video Repair and the actual camera that took the pictures was also seized.

The sergeant said neither Keyes nor Beckwith were arrested and that the case is in the hands of the LA County District Attorney. The sergeant says neither man violated Massachusetts law, but California laws are different.

Danielle Friedland of Celebrity Baby Blog tells TMZ that she received an email last week with sample photos attached, "to see what these photos may be worth." One of the of the images was on her blog. After some consideration, however, Danielle removed the images, believing the photos may have been illegally obtained.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney had no comment because the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.

We could not reach Bill Keyes or Adam Beckwith for comment.

John Malinosky, President of Precision Camera and Video Repair said he was unaware of the search and "We have absolutely no knowledge of this."

TMZ placed a call to Lavely & Singer, Pitt and Jolie's lawyers, but it was not returned.

Why is it that something happens in another country we got to protect that country. What happen to protecting our own people. this is a waiste of my tax dollar , i dont know about any one else.

124. Um having an opinion and having a say are two different things. NONE of us have a say in how somebody spends there money. ...I don't care if you are a friend, family or fan. I earn it you don't have a say in what I do with it. They worked for their money, they did not hold a gun to your head and say you better pay to see our movie or whatever so please....give it a break

I'm responding to Rachel when she posted:

s, I think I have some say in how the millions of dollars they received is spent. I can't demand what they do with it. But I can get pissed as hell if I think they're misusing the money, e.g. on a Nambia resort and security and private planes and constant international air travel. I can rant

127. In recent weeks, the FBI went from spending a week or so digging up a horse farm looking for Jimmy Hoffa to tracking down baby pics...whats next...perhaps finding Bugs Bunny's hideout! I thought the FBI was supposed to be involved in trackin the war on terrorism...um, guess Robert Mueller prefers the lighter duty.

133. It is a shame for the taxpayers money to be used in such an idle manner. However, wouldn't the FBI come out to your local Walmart to depict whose stolen your flix. Surely every pix of little Shiloh was well worth it and thanks to the US citizens we have made her parents rich enough for them to spend their money on whatever they choose, even if they want to purchase the FBI for 500 Alex.

134. it makes me feel ever so safe and secure, that while Terrorists threaten to blow up our country, instead of catching these guys, the FBI has nothing better to do then worry about pics of celebs.

135. The FBI works hard

http://film.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,1808846,00.html

Thirteen people were arrested in raids across New York City yesterday as part of an FBI strike on two movie piracy rings that authorities said specialised in sneaking digital camcorders into cinemas and shooting hit films, then duplicating and distributing millions of bootlegs worldwide.

Officials said the rings had been operating since 1999 and were believed to be responsible for nearly half of all illicit recordings made in the US.

Some of the DVD knockoffs included the FBI warning seen at the start of legitimate discs - "No small irony," said Mark Mershon, head of the FBI's New York office, at a news conference.
