Celebs Who Won't Get Hitched

No Marry CelebsFrom last weekend's celebrity wedding trifecta featuring the nuptials of Nicole Kidman, Marcia Cross and Patricia Arquette, it may seem like Hollywood is in a frenzy to walk down the aisle.

But for every Elizabeth Taylor and Jennifer Lopez wedding announcement there are stars that are avoiding saying their 'I Dos' like the bird flu.

Check out which celebrities have a serious case of cold feet.

OprahOprah Winfrey

Oprah and her rarely-seen main man Stedman Graham have been together for 20 years but she has no plans in sporting a Vera Wang anytime soon. Even though the talk show host doesn't see the point in marrying her partner, she insists Stedman did ask. While she may be a mentor to married housewives everywhere, Ms. Winfrey admits "A piece of paper does not define a life. I always knew that was not the answer for me." The Big O goes on to say "I do believe that had we gotten married, we would not be together today. The traditional role of marriage would not work in this relationship." And we all know if Oprah says so then it must be true!

George ClooneyGeorge Clooney

Despite winning an Oscar and being one of the "Sexiest Men Alive," George Clooney has yet to land a permanent leading lady in his life. He's been linked to nearly every starlet around the world and was once married to actress Talia Balsam, but the confirmed bachelor swears he will never wed again. Earlier this year gorgeous George told Barbara Walters "I know I'll never get married again because I wasn't very good at it." While we may not agree, the one thing we know he is good at is making women (and some men) swoon.

Charlize Theron Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron and her boyfriend, fellow actor Stuart Townsend, have been dating for nearly five years and are one of the hottest Hollywood couples around. Naturally they have the whole world wondering when they will tie the knot. Well to keep the press at bay, the couple has announced the exact date of their impending nuptials while simultaneously taking a political stand. Theron says "we will get married the day that gays and lesbians can get married (in America) - when that right is given to them." With Massachusetts being the only state so far to legalize gay marriage, sadly it seems, Charlize and Stuart will have to deal with a very long engagement.

Howard Stern Howard Stern

The King of all Media aka Howard Stern is another celeb making their bachelorhood a political issue. On May 15, Stern announced on his Sirius radio show that "I'm never getting married unless gays can get married." The shock jock says this is no joke and has declared the issue "his cause." Stern divorced his ex-wife Alison Stern, the mother for his three children, in 2001. He has since been dating his longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky.

Halle Berry Halle Berry

After two failed marriages to baseball player David Justice and R+B singer Eric Benet, Halle Berry has sworn off the institution for good. On an episode of "Oprah" in 2004, Berry said "I will never marry again. I mean it with every bone in my body."
The gorgeous Oscar-winner went on to say that despite not wanting to marry she does "need a partner."

So it isn't all bad news for the luckiest man in the world - Berry's boyfriend, model Gabriel Aubrey. If Gabriel is smart as he is hot, he'll prove to Halle why you should never say never.

Johnny Depp Johnny Depp

After being married once in the 80s and engaged four times to Sherilyn Fenn, Jennifer Grey, Winona Ryder and Kate Moss, Johnny Depp finally found the woman of his dreams in Vanessa Paradis.

Together since 1998, the couple have two children together but have yet to make their relationship official. The reason - Depp says he doesn't want to ruin her last name. "It would be such a drag to stick her with Paradis-Depp. It's like a flat note." Whatever you say Johnny. We don't think it'd be too hard to find someone willing to be stuck with the title of Mrs. Depp.

To make hearts a flutter even more, Depp adds "For all intents and purposes we are married. We have two kids together and she is the woman in my life. But if she ever said: 'Hey, let's get hitched', I would do it in a second."

361. The last post about Aubry and Berry, c'mon you really don't mean it do you? You make her sound like some deviant, I am suprised that you didn't add she joins in the fun (sarcasm). Let the happy duo be.

363. It's really unfortunate that Halle Berry has really brought upon herself with all of the rumors about she and the boyfriend, I wonder who she has pissed off. From the looks at the posts , a heck of a lot of people. Don't know if the happy duo can ride out all of the comments floating on the net, sad to say, since many of us want her to get it together. Also, don't think the comments are going to stop if they continue to be together, they'll only get worse, which is even sadder to say. In spite of all of this, I still wish them both the best of luck.

364. Looks like Halle and Gabey are doing serious damage control showing that they are still together, old pictures from last month from their golf/dinner outing in Miami are still circulating on the Web on one of the photo storage sites, think from newscom.com or something like that, similar to the other pictures of them that were circulating on the various sites and blogs then (don't have the various links).
You can tell by the clothes and when Halle had her hair in those funky extensions.
So what's up? Wonder if we will continue to see recent photos of the happy couple other than the one's take before her trip to Tokyo? Don't know if they have said sayonara yet?

365. Sorry, but the sanctity of marriage is holy. Marriage is a religious ceremony. It is being together as one...and NOT in a sinful way...Maybe more people should read the Bible, then they would GET the meaning of the "PIECE OF PAPER!"

366. Good God, ya'll for cruxifying the celebs. Where do ya'll get off judging Oprah, Halle, Clooney and the others. It's their personal choice if they don't want to get married again or whatever. The hate on these posts whether so and so is gay or not or what they may or may not do is really no one's business. Physician heal thy self. Give it a rest....

367. LMAO--Maybe a little damage control by Halle and her publicist with the Photoshop photos from splashnews.com of her looking pg:

Halle Berry is not pregnant or at least to the best of my knowledge at the present time--can you say Photoshop? Regardless of wishing her the best whenever she has a child, she is not pregnant looking a little bloated or gained a little weight--that's how rumors get started . I will believe it when she confirms it. Saw the original photos several days ago on www.splashnews.com/index2 (not sure what the current page is now) of her in similar pictures with the caption that she's put on a little weight nothing more nothing less. In recent photos of her on various sites including yahoo.com or newscom.com (maybe page 5-7, not sure with the splashnews.com photos of her from last month being re-circulated as pointed out to me by splashnews.com of her surveying her building site and her in Miami with Aubry doing golf and dinner) showing her in Tokyo on the 13th-14th for the X3 premiere, she didn't look pregnant in the press conference photos in tight jeans or the sleek tight fitting dress and new hairdo or wig--check the photos. She doesn't look pg in those photos at all. Nice try!

368. WHAT IS SO FASCINATING ABOUT THE PERSONAL LIVES OF ACTORS? I MEAN, WHY DO PEOPLE CARE? UNLESS YOU PERSONALLY KNOW THEM, WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF ANYONES WHETHER THESE PEOPLE MARRY? ACTING, OR ANY CRAFT IN THE ARTS USES ALL OF THE PERSONS RESOURCES TO CREATE THEIR WORK. THEY REALLY NEED TO BE SELF ABSORBED TO DO THEIR CRAFT WELL. TtHAT IS WHY SO MANY WORKING ACTORS, MUSICIANS,ETC. END UP IN DIVORCE, THERE JUST ISNT THE EMOTIONAL AVAILABILITY OR TIME TO FULLY DEVELOP THE LOVE BETWEEN A HUSBAND AND WIFE. ANYONE IN A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE KNOWS WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE IT WORK AND THAT SACRAFICES ARE MADE TO KEEP THINGS IN BALANCE. UNFORTUNATLY LOCATIONS, MONEY, TEMPTATIONS OF BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE...IT ALL ADDS UP TO DISASTER UNLESS THE PERSON IS COMITTED TO REALLY PUT THE FAMILY FIRST (SOME ACTORS ARE FINALLY GETTING THIS, AND TO THINK WE LOOK UP TO THEM, WHEN THEY ARE REALLY VERY FRAGILE PEOPLE JUST TRYING TO DO THEIR WORK LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE.

369. i've been married four times. on the whole, i'd rather have a goldfish. i was thinking i'd rather have a cat, but they want too much attention, kind of like husbands, and with a fish you can always flush it...

370. I am married. I also lived with my husband for about 8 years before we married. We loved each other just the same before the piece of paper as we do now.
Legally speaking, my benefits, our purchases/assets (home, cars etc.) were all shared previously, without the piece of paper (common-law marriages are recognized in my province, gay or straight). In addition, it is quite simple (and inexpensive -- about $50 for a kit) to obtain power of attorney with a legal document, regardless of your marital status. A living will can cover much of this, whether you're married or ot. Taxes can be filed with a common-law partner, if you wish. So, why did we marry? -- we're not too sure actually. We just wanted to do it for ourselves. We now realize that it wasn't necessary, but we had a really fun day (a tiny wedding, nothing for show, -- weddings aren't really a point of interest for either of us). So, my point is . . . (and this is obviously just my own opinion, based on my own situation). . . the piece of paper changes nothing. You can have it all either way, if you're compatible and willing. What is important is that you love and respect each other, and realize each others potential. This can be done with or without that paper.

371. I don't understand why politics and religion have to enter into this. Marriage is a very personal decision and belongs in the private arena. I think the biggest mistake a couple can make is to get married because it's socially expected. It seems to me that marriage works for some people (Tom Hanks, John Travolta) while not marrying works well for others (Goldie Hawn, Susan Sarandon) so to make a blanket statement that it's "just a piece of paper" or "it's a lifetime commitment to show love and respect for one another" is not only naive, but irresponsible as well. Maybe we should have a DMV for marriages and you have to go to classes and pass a test before we can get a license to wed. Maybe then people would leave the romanticism behind and really discuss the issue and decide what's best for them.
