Star's Range Rover Rage

Star Jones just can't catch a break!  She attended socialite Claudia Cohen's party last Saturday in the Hamptons, accompanied by hubby Al Reynolds and fellow (well, former fellow) daytime talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa -- a needed break after a busy week of triggering a feud with Barbara Walters.

At the end of the party, a TMZ spy says, a mix-up with her parking ticket left Star cooling her heels at the valet stand, until almost all of the guests had gone and all but two of the cars were claimed – a Honda and her Range Rover.

According to our spy, Jones told the beleaguered attendant,  "You better get my Range Rover before that HONDA!" Luckily for him, he complied, and she sped off into the Long Island night.   Our source says Star left without tipping the valet.

63. hmmm...black, rich, articulated, lawyer who made it against the odds in racist white america, with weight problems to boot...sure lets all beat down that great example of achievement, i mean, the bitch is black...

leave star alone, the media is using her to distract us from big brother....

64. Why should Star have left on Barbara Walter's or ABC's terms? If one of your dumb asses was being fired, would you sit there like a damn door map and read from the script that they had prepared for you? Give me a damn break!!! If a fat, broke down, hag looking hater was hired at your place of employment you would react in the same manner. Don't pretend for a second that you would be okay with what "they" had planned. I am by no means a Star fan, but wrong is wrong. Are you all jumping on the Barbara Walter's band wagon because she is some old ass white woman. Black women always get a bad treatment from the media. For example, what makes white women feel that they can just reach out and touch every "sistas" hair ( Brandy on the View today)? Joy ( a bad built hag), and Barbara Walters ( old ass white woman) should have been slapped right on the air today by Brandy for being so disrespectful!

68. This is really not that important. Is this really news? Aren't there more important things in the world--Darfur, North Korean missiles, Iraq? If an incompitant valet's parking ticket mix up made you have to wait until almost every other car was gone, you would get a little peeved too. Star made some mistakes in the past, and she's apologized for them. She sees the decision not to renew her contract as a business decision. Over all she's handled the whole situation in a cool headed manner and seems to hold no animosity towards anyone. Leave Star alone and stop wasting time talking about insignificant things.

69. That's why in show biz they have contracts; it's an option to renew or not to renew. ABC wisely chose to NOT renew. That's not being fired. Not renewing one's contract is just that. A contract is not an automatic renewal. DUH! And she's a lawyer??? Plus, I think being notified this far in advance showed class. Starzilla didn't get a pink slip one day and on same day an uncharitable escort out of the building! Now that's what it is to be fired!

70. Star is a victim of her own, monstrous EGO.

71. i used to really enjoy star on the view. her weight was blinded by her personality, she could have weighed 500lbs and you never would notice it. however, since she got married and lost all that weight, her personality went completely downhill. i fully agree with comment number 1. so sad i feel the wonderful star jones i came to know on the view has died, and this new person is a complete disaster. i don't like her at all now. also, i feel that since she lost all this weight she will never never ever allow herself to bear children. she probably will adopt instead. as far as i am concerned her career is finished.

72. ...can anyone honestly say they watched this stupid bitch on tv?...can't wait for her premier on future infomercials....

73. Better to bitch about Da StarBytch than worry about high gas prices, illegal wiretapping, the ongoing horrors in Iraq, our dictator president, the post-Katrina mess in the Gulf Coast, or North Korea's launching missiles and telling the US to go f*ck ourselves! Look the other way folks, the StarCircus is starting just across the street....

74. Star Jones is a cipher. A former fat cipher at that. She gives the whole "famous for nothing" syndrome new meaning. And, she's ugly and her husband is probably gay. She deserves whatever abuse gets thrown at her. I wishe she would just go away and get fat again.

75. This whole theme has gone beyone boring...next we will be reading if she likes her toilet tissue to roll from the top or the underside...sound stupid? yea...but Oprah already covered that on one of her shows.
I enjoy reading about famous people...it kind of takes the edge off of Korea et all...but why does the Media think we want to know every stupid little detail of their lives...tell us something significant...like Where does Star want to go now...stay in the show business lane or would she consider moving back into law...etc.
I think both Barbara Walters and Star Jones behaved very badly about the whole issue...but now it is time to get over it...doncha think? V
