Brad Pitt -- "I'm Kinda Sick of Myself"

Brad PittFor Brad Pitt, satisfaction is getting a burp out of "that thing" known as his baby daughter, Shiloh Nouvel.

That, amongst other things, is what Pitt told the Today Show's Ann Curry Monday morning in an exclusive interview from New Orleans, where Pitt was surveying the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and promoting environmentally-friendly solutions for the rebuilding of the ravaged city. Working in conjunction with the non-profit Global Green, Pitt said that he has invested $100,000 to help the citizens of New Orleans.

Pitt laid bare the impelling force behind his good works, telling Curry, "I got kids now. And it really changes your perspective on the world. And, you know, I've had my day...I'm so tired of thinking about myself. I'm kinda sick of myself."

And though much artistic work may lie ahead, Pitt says he's got a new project that's consuming him: "You can write a book, you can make a movie, you can draw, paint a painting, but having kids is really the most extraordinary thing I've ever taken on. And, man, if I can get a burp out of that, that little thing, I'll feel such a sense of accomplishment."

2177. The Friends star says her fairytale marriage to Pitt made her feel too insecure.

''Marriage brought up all the kinds of things I pushed to the back-burner - the fear, the mistrust, the doubts and the insecurities,'' she said.

''Brad is the kindest person I know and the sweetest goofball on the planet. He helps you with your chair in restaurants and opens the car door for you.
''He's a gentleman and accepted me with all of my crap and dysfunction and insecurities and struggles.''

But she says she always felt inferior to the Troy heartthrob, and that her relationship with him went through ''rough and nasty'' patches.

Despite rumours that she put her career above having a family Aniston told how she longs to have children, saying: ''Babies are so magical that I want at least one of my own.''

Pitt recently said that his love was never enough for Aniston.

''It was becoming a nightmare,'' he said.

''When something so good goes so bad, it's awful. Jennifer refused to recognise the problems and she had an inability to let go, always bringing up the good memories. I'm not the bad guy.''

2178. the bible was written thousands of years ago, couples were supposed to procreate in order to continue the species.
the birth control pill was frowned upon when it first came out because it allowed sex without the chance of having children.
now it is commonplace and the churches accept it.
there will alway be quite enough people having children in the world as it is now.
the rule against same sex couples is outdated.
And Brad has never been a nicer person than he is now.

2179. no one's been here in a while but i'd like to say how much i think Brad has grown as a person, he's become a man. he has and will make unwise decisions, this is part of the growing process. i don't think his choice to become a father was one of those unwise ones. he's learning the insignificance of his own needs compared to those of his children. if that's what he meant by saying he's kinda sick of himself he is obviously on the road to enlightenment. good luck Brad!
