Janet In Shape and In "Control"

Janet JacksonIt'd be hard not to take note of Janet Jackson's transformation in the past few months. The diva has gone from overweight recluse to fit superstar as she plans for the release of her new CD "20 Years Old." While getting back in shape is a requirement for publicity, Ms. Jackson told Ryan Seacrest on his morning radio show on KIIS-FM in Los Angeles that working out was anything but fun.

"There have been times when I work out at 4:30 in the morning because I've had an incredibly long day and I'd rather get it done and over with. I hate working out and hate is a strong word but I cannot stand working out," said Janet of her fitness routine. She also said having boyfriend Jermaine Dupri as a partner in staying fit definitely helped.

Jackson's new CD is due out this fall, but parts of it could sound very familiar. Janet says, "there's some sounds that we took from 'Nasty,' brought out the old keyboards that we actually used on some of the old stuff back then ... the music that inspired me 25 years ago coupled with the new."

"20 Years Old" hits the shelves September 19th.

Okay.........I do agree, celebs need to be honest about how they lose weight, working out alone will not cause you to drop the weight that fast. whatever you did Janet , you look good to be 40 As for Jermaine Dupre, if he loves you and you love him, then I'm happy for the both of you. I hear wedding plans are in the making for Sept.. you go girl, this time make sure it's right and make it last forever. As for your singing, you can sing in your own right. Everybody's voice is different, I would not expect for you to sing like Pattie Labelle. The talent you do bring to the table is awesome. Keep up the good work. Just make sure you are happy................and forget all those who player hate on you. Whatever they say.................you look weird, you got botox, you had surgery...........just remember, when you go to the bank , take those comments along with your check and cash them. Peace.

17. sounds like trina had to much haterade before she logged on. She has alot to say about janet can't sing or to much botox, but guess what janet is 40 years old and I would bet she looks alot better than her, and guess what janet is rich, this girl trina is more than likely some fat ugly chick sittin at home with nothing else better to do than put down someone who dosen't even know she exist.

18. Janet is a PERFORMER-the ultimate entertainer. She not only has a wonderful voice, but she also has great moves. As for her weight lose, how she did it is her business. Either you like her music and will buy her new CD, or you don't and won't. Leave the put downs where they belong "in the trash."

20. The one thing I like about Janet is her dedication to herself and to her fans. She has always stayed true to herself and puts out albums that help people deal with their issues with good music. And God blessed everyone with unique talents. Janet may not sing like Whitney or Mariah, but she sings her songs her way. She has a beautiful voice and being an icon proves it. The guy that said she can't sing did not read the article, because it had nothing to do with her singing. He CAN'T read. Working out is not easy. It takes alot of dedication to look that good. Janet is HOT! Plain and Simple

21. I am a true Janet Jackson fan also. People need to stop hating on Jackson about how she lost her weight and how her voice sound. Just like the person in the military said its possible to loose so many pounds in so many months or weeks. And far as her voice go, she might not be no Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, or Tina Turner or other great legends with a great voice, but she is Janet Jackson with her own unique voice. People just hating because they can't look like her, have her money, boyfriend, and be successful.

24. WOW! Janet continues to make the "haters" sick. You go, Janet! Janet has been around forever and still has control over fans and "haters". Why spend time commenting on someone you don't like. LOL! Janet is a mulitalented entertainer who has fans all over the world. Janet is totally awesome. The new single 'Call on Me' was billboards record breaker in the R&B debut, Janet's US Weekly cover was one of the most succesful issues in the history of the magazine. LOL @ the haters who refuse to accept that Ms. Jackson will never go away! Janet is still in control!!!

25. Janet may not have the strongest vocals,but she can put on a show like no one else can! Beyonce can't dance because she is busy where high heel shoes and trying to be cute and she can't even sing, but everybody is sweating her like she is the best thing since chocolate!

29. I think Janet Jackson is beautiful big or little. She has a very soft voice and that only means close your mouth and listen!!!
