Nick & Jessica's Awkward Moment

Nick & Jess at Hyde: Click to watchThe ex-'Newlyweds' had a run-in this weekend at Hollywood hot spot Hyde, where the two partied separately - at the same time. The club is relatively small, with a capacity of about 100 people, so it would be near impossible for them to miss each other.

Adding salt to Simpson's open wound was the presence of Lachey's rumored new girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo, who showed up in the same car with Nick.

While Lachey has been linked to a number of women, Jessica admitted in the current issue of OK! Magazine that she's still living the single life saying, "I don't feel right about dating yet."

According to Gossip Gangster Perez Hilton, the two were cordial inside the club, even giving each other a hug.

Nick and Jessica's divorce became final on June 30th, though the two are still involved in property and financial disputes.

47. jessica was too dumb to realize what she had...i know i dont know nick personally but as far as i can see he seems like an amazing guy..and jessica was jus stuck too far up her a** to have realized that..they were the perfect couple..till she screwed it up..its none of my business but thats just what i saw n my personal opinion

48. . omigosh..... why does everyone take nick's side? jessica is a beautiful woman and a talented artist. nick is just a washed up ex pop star who was riding jessica's coattails!! i totally understand jessica not wanting to date.... she just had one relationship totally collapse. obviously nick was has a womanizing problem, look at all the women hes gone through since he and jessica split! go jessica!!

49. Jessica lacks singing and acting talent. She's pretty, but I don't see any long term popularity for her. She will fade out soon. Unlike Britney, Jessica doesn't captivate the public. People will lose interest in her very soon.

50. Good for Nick!!

I used to be a big Jessica fan but in the past 2 years she's changed everything that made her special. She used to be able to sing, now she's been trying too hard to sound sexy and breathy (see With You live performances on MTV and such). She used to dress sexy yet classy, saying it was better to leave things to the imagination. Now - hello Daisy Dukes. And her relationship with Nick was a huge draw.

She's lost all of it now. And she deserves to.

I hope Nick is happy and can settle down with someone who wants the same things as him and MEANS IT!! Let Jess date some Hollywood idiots that'll screw her over.

51. Jessica has her "dad" to walk through life with. I hope Joe is happy and proud of himself for encouraging the divorce. As a man of the cloth, he certainly has sold his, and his daughters souls to the devil, for the success of Hollywood.

Way to go Joe. Seems the last "family" act that had a father named, "Joe" sold their souls too. Look what became of Michael Jackson.

But, hey, how easy to live off your kids, then get a job, and work for yourself.

54. I really feel for Nick and Jess. I just got used to them with the Newly Wed show. I thought they made a cute couple but we just can't seem to let them be and have a life. Maybe if everyone left them alone they could work things out, mentally, emotionally, and phyically. Good Luck to both of you.

56. The problem is once Jessica's fame shot way up, started making more
money than Nick and yes, her father, probably coaxed her into making it on her
own. Because she was now the bigger bread winner and caused a lot of friction between the two. But also she was very, very young when she married Nick and had to because she promised to stay a virgin until she got married. But at least she was pure, you can't say that much for alot the other artists. Look at what Jlo's been through, I don't see her fame mellowing down.

57. Maybe she doesn't feel right about dating because she needs to be on her own for a while? I hope that she's enjoying her independence and that she finds happiness again, whether it's alone or with a new love. Good for Nick for finding a nice girl.

I think the same. I think that's why Nick is so remorseful and hurting while Jessica is moving on quietly. I think he knows that he didn't treat her with respect and that's why he lost her. I think he's learned from his mistakes and wants to have a better relationship with Vanessa. I wish them both luck.

59. But they both stayed and partied in front of each other, so immature, I guess neither one of them wanted to be the one with class and leave. They both wanted to rub it in each other's faces. So high-school. I think they both still love each other and were trying hard to not watch what the other was doing, but I bet they were looking. Hopefully they'll stay divorced but become fuck buddies.

60. I loved Nick and Jessica together. I must have been naive but her claim of saving herself for marriage meant more to me than it did her I guess. In the age of Britney's claim to virginity and behavior of a hooker, raising a teenage daughter isn't easy. Having Jessica's "morals" to point to were a good thing. Now I am embarrased that I ever used her as an example. Buck up Jess...what goes around comes around. Tell Daddy you're cutting the ties (and bra straps), ask God first--then Nick--for forgiveness, and go back to the respectable life you supposedly used to lead.
