New York Hearts Jessica

It's apparent Jessica Simpson's fame definitely hasn't faded since "Newlyweds" went off the air. The blonde bombshell is currently in New York promoting her new single "A Public Affair."

One of Simpson's stops included an appearance on MTV's TRL Wednesday afternoon where VJ Vanessa Minnillo was nowhere to be found (because of her current relationship with Nick Lachey? hmmmm). After the show hundreds and hundreds of fans with cell phone cameras in hand lined the streets and sidewalks to catch a glimpse of the pop star.

As Jessica left the building, the screaming erupted and police could only hold back the crazed crowd for a short while before the mob broke free and bum rushed the singer's bodyguards. Jessica was quickly rushed to the car as the swarm of people crushed in.

9. The song sucks, the video sucks. This is so unorignal and lacks any form of creativity. She is forced to rip off other successful artists (Madonna did the rollerskating video & the song a long time ago & much better). The ice cream scene is hilarious, she doesn't even know what she's doing! Jessica proves without a shadow of a doubt that she is nothing more then a nice rack.
If you watched the TRL show she couldn't even read the teleprompter. Several times she had to stop and take a deep breath. She can't read, she has horrible style, she can't think for herself, she is manly.
Nick's songs are gay and 80's but I will say, he does have groupies falling all over him when he leaves MTV and other places. His album sales are going to kick Jessica's ass!

14. Wonder how much Jessica PR person paid all these groupies to play "let's pretend we like Jessica". Was it a slow day in NY or what? I can't believe these many people actually showed up for her. Maybe they thought they heard it was Jessica Alba.

I think that Nick made Jessica famous.If it wasn't for his famous boy band taking Jessica on tour with him and letting her open for them she would still be singing in churches.He gave her exposure to millions of people for her to be seen and heard.If he didn't come into her life way back in the day she wouldn't be where she is today.People seem to forget that.She only seems to have one good song on every album she does.Hope a "public affair" isn't it!
