Miss Universe Goes Down

Miss Universe Collapses: Click to watchJust minutes after being crowned the new Miss Universe, Zuleyka Mendoza Rivera of Puerto Rico, fainted on stage. A Colombian television station caught the action on camera.

Citing a dress made entirely of metal chains and the hot lights of the auditorium as a reason for the collapse, a pageant spokeswoman said she was given liquids and quickly recovered.

When asked by Colombian press waiting for Rivera in her hotel lobby how she was feeling she smiled and said, "Hola! Un beso para Colombia!"

The 18 year-old beat out 85 other contestants from around the world for the crown.

17. Is Miss Universe 2006, Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza is anorexic or bulimic? She looks extremely skinny for her height. Lean 5'9" latinas at least as well built as the other runner ups. Her shoulder, collar, and hip bones were way too visible on the peageant compare to her younger pictures. Is not surpise she fainted. Of course, her rep blamed it on the lights, the dress, shoes, etc. The breasts and behind on the 18 years old teenager yet still remained carefully proportioned thank to plastic surgery. This way the eating disorder is not so obvious only to the professional eye. Unfortunately, millions of teenagers will follow the role model's footsteps.
