Pharrell Williams is setting new standards of bling.
The mogul-turned-singer showed off his new 18-karat-gold Blackberry during a stopover in New York to promote his solo album, "In My Mind."
Williams' Blackberry was designed by Jacob Arabo, the New York bling king known as Jacob the Jeweler. Arabo was arrested in June as part of a nationwide drug and money-laundering sweep and currently is awaiting his next court date.
16. I totally agree with Courtney. My gawd, I mean that phone is at least two grand and just half of that could feed a village in Africa, who are probably related to him, for a month. Pharrell feed your cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. in Africa. We know you have money to spare, all their asking for is some porridge, bread and water to sustain them.

ACTUALLY pharrell has contributed quite a bit of money to aid homeless, the youth, the downtrodden in VA where he is from.. although i feel that it was a super extravagant gift for himself .. who are we to state how this brotha spends his money... the taxes will just suck it up anyway.. so.... i just think that all this diamond worship is reckless and not as high brow as these fools would like us to think... but just know pharrell does a lot for his community.. he mos def gives back

Examples: Paris Hilton, Exxon CEO, Donald Trump, Katie Couric--- estimates that Ms. Couric will need to purchase at least 10 designer suits, and matching shoes, which could cost more than $30,000. Not that those brand-name outfits would set her back much, even if she didn't have a wardrobe allowance. At CBS, Ms. Couric will reportedly take home some $15 million a year.
Does Katie Couric need to spend $30,000.00 on suits? Could Katie be donating this money to a charity? These are rhetorical questions but come on people! Let's not single out the young black rap moguls all of the time.
