With only a month to go until the release of her new CD "A Public Affair," Jessica Simpson has already switched the cover picture of the album.

Last week the cover art for the CD surfaced showing a sultry Jessica with her hair down, sporting a strapless dress. But it looks as if the Simpson camp changed its mind and decided to go with more of a girl-next-door look. Jessica's rep Rob Shuter tells TMZ the final decision on a cover had not been made by the time one had to be provided to Jess' record label, so the first cover option (of three choices they had) was given. That cover was ultimately not chosen and Jessica went with the cover shown here.

The new album cover has a casual looking Jess with nothing but a T-shirt on, her hair pulled back and wearing a ring on her right index finger.

Coincidentally, Simpson's latest cover pic looks particularly similar to her Sony Music label mate Jennifer Lopez's cover for her 2002 album "This Is Me ... Then" -- even down to the handwriting. And that isn't the album's only comparison to another pop diva. Her first single has already been compared to Madonna's '80s hit "Holiday."

16. Jessica's a beautiful girl and I love the new cover for her CD. It takes a beautiful face and features to be able to wear your hair completely pulled back like that. Most women can't do that and pull it off the right way. Looks good Jessica!

17. I know no-one cares, but I think the time has come for Jessica to shed the old, over-done "slutty" image and blossom as a repectful, young adult performer!
The new (second) CD cover will put her in a category with Faith Hill, Celine, Madonna, Shania Twain, etc. These female artists (a little older then her) let their talent do the talking. And Jessica can certainly hold-her-own when singing. She has a great voice.
She doesn't need to sell her body anymore to prove her natural talent. We understand...you have a smokin' body...we get it. Thanks, though!
Kudo's to Sony for cleaning up her image abit. It's about time. And the time is now.
Now...just a little "acting school" for her should do the trick!

18. I liked Jessica's look back in the Newlywed days as she had more of a natural look. I don't care for her music but still think she is a beautiful girl. Now If she could just get away from that freaky controlling father of hers.......

21. I am so sick of the rude negative comments towards the stars and people on this web sight. It's stupid. Just about everyone probably wishes they had the fame and fortune Jessica does. Leave the girl alone. She's making a living just like everyone else. If you don't like her, fine, but don't buy her cd or think about her. Come on this websight and find a story you like and say something nice.

22. she does suck as a singer so does her sister. her live perfomances sound awful so i dont know were any one gets off saying she has a great voice.

24. When will her 15 minutes be up? They can change the cover all they want, but the public is on to her.....skank. Can't hide it, don't run from it. Maybe soft core porn is the way to go, especially since singing isn't really her forte.
She cultivated the whore image and now that it is backfiring, she's in a tee shirt on the cover.

25. I liked Jessica's music when she first arrived on the scene. But she went in the direction all of the other new female singers And started the heavy breathing and stretching notes and just giving me a major headache.

28. I cant believe how nasty some of you can be. I know you have the right to your opinions but c'mon, some of that stuff is just cruel no matter who your talking about. Yeah, Jessica can be a little ditzy, and in no way slutty. I would personally rather hear about her then Brittney Spears anyday.
