With only a month to go until the release of her new CD "A Public Affair," Jessica Simpson has already switched the cover picture of the album.

Last week the cover art for the CD surfaced showing a sultry Jessica with her hair down, sporting a strapless dress. But it looks as if the Simpson camp changed its mind and decided to go with more of a girl-next-door look. Jessica's rep Rob Shuter tells TMZ the final decision on a cover had not been made by the time one had to be provided to Jess' record label, so the first cover option (of three choices they had) was given. That cover was ultimately not chosen and Jessica went with the cover shown here.

The new album cover has a casual looking Jess with nothing but a T-shirt on, her hair pulled back and wearing a ring on her right index finger.

Coincidentally, Simpson's latest cover pic looks particularly similar to her Sony Music label mate Jennifer Lopez's cover for her 2002 album "This Is Me ... Then" -- even down to the handwriting. And that isn't the album's only comparison to another pop diva. Her first single has already been compared to Madonna's '80s hit "Holiday."

32. #29...Amanda....how can you say Jessica is in no way slutty? Did you even see the video for "These Boots Are Made For Walking"??????????
If that is not the epitome of slutty, then I don't know what is. Children had to leave the room when that video came on, kids that looked up to her at one time. I had to explain why Jessica was humping a car....not an easy thing to explain.
I am not being mean or nasty, just stating the truth, IMO of course.

Here's something classy for you: Grammer is not hard to grasp, especially when you have gone to school. You obviously have a problem with grammer. Try learning the correct way to phrase sentences. Then, maybe your insults will have some zing. I recommend a tutor.
I don't know much about trailer parks, maybe that experience is something you can share with the group.
And, since this is a free world, for now, I can state my opinion and really not give a flying fuck what you think. Are you Jessica's daddy? If so, you creep me out.

Although I agree with your comment, you should make sure you SPELL correctly when criticizing someone's "GRAMMER"......the word is GRAMMAR.

Jessica is very pretty, but lacks talent.

35. girl next door with a pound of makeup on. Nothing she does is freash, its all been done before. Her desperate attemps to remake "boots" and "take my breath away" and dukes of hazzard ect..not one thing has showcased any talent, other then a nice rack. That is her talent. Im sorry, but shes not very likeable anymore. Yeah, shes cute, yeah, she can carry a tune, but she way less talented then any of her peers, except Paris of course. She just looks a little cuter.

37. I find some of the posts here at TMZ more interesting than the stories! Some of you are very funny! Anyway, someone mentioned Jessica and her "Boots Are Made For Walking" video. She looked FANTASTIC in that video and she is no more "slutty" than Britney, Madonna, Beyonce or any other artist in a music video. And NO child has any business watching MTV or videos so if you find yourself explaining what Jessica is doing in them...YOU need to watch your children more closely.

38. jessica simpson has never been original, everything she does she just copies other people. i refuse to call her an artist. she has to have other celebs in her music video to make a public affair rise to the top 'cause she can't do it on her own. i can't wait for christina's album to trample hers.

40. jessica simpson is a beautiful women inside and out, both of the covers are great and im sure if those girls that are posting rude comments about her looked maybe as half as good as her they would be doing the same thing... man a girl shows clevege and shes suddenly the worlds biggest slut [[sarcasm much?]] ... i think shes doing a fantastic job and i wish her the best with her career...

41. I think Jessica is pretty but I believe she was always pretty. Now she has the artificial looks as everyone else. I think there is something beautiful about individuality and imperfections. With the various work she has that beauty has been diminished

43. I used to like Jessica but since she got all this fame from the show she has changed. I used to like the morals that she had and keep, then she just went crazy. She should really get a new manager and drop Papa Joe, he is ruining her career. As for the album covers they are not slutty in any means and I like the one on the left.
