106. Well, I am no expert, but reading over these comments it would appear that most people are indeed very tired of Katherine McPhee. As much as I believe that the American Idol series should have stopped after the first season, now I understand why they keep going...to get the light off media hogs and move on. I harbor no ill feelings towards this girl, but to be honest, I too am tired of hearing about her and her frantic and insane clawing at stardom before the clock stops ticking. All at our expense. Justin Guarinin and Clay Aiken never did this! Hang in there everyone...the new season is coming. Tick Tock.

107. MANY MIXED FEELINGS..... DON'T LIKE HER AT ALL.... AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE , AND THE JUDGES ACTUALLY LIKED HER RENDITITION OF "OVER THE RAINBOW" IT WAS AWFUL.....

I CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOME PEOPLE THINK SHE'S 'AMAZINGLY TALENTED " I CERTAINLY DON'T SEE IT.

AND IT'S WEIRD THAT SHE'S HOOKED UP WITH A GUY THATCOULD BE HER FATHER. SHE'S THE TYPE OF GIRL THAT WILL ALWAYS BE SEEKING AN OLDER MAN LIKE DADDY, WHO DID MORE HARM THAN GOOD TO HER BY SPOINLIG HER ROTTEN !

NOW FOR HER BULIMIA.... THAT'S A SERIOUS MENTAL ILLNESS, AND I DO WISH HER WELL IN HER FIGHT TO OVERCOME THIS PROBLEM.

109. The only thing I will remember about Katharine McPhee is that she was the second runner up to Taylor Hicks and that she was false in every conceivable way. Yes, it is admirable that she triumphed over this eating disorder but she is not and has never been anything special except cold and unfeeling as evidenced on A I time after time.

110. Katharine McPhee was very lucky to have the financial ability to pay for the proper treatment for her eating disorder and she also was able to go to one of the top clinics. But not everyone is so lucky. In fact, people are dying on a daily basis because sadly these treatment centers cost so much and don't offer scholarships, i.e., $30,000 -- $90,000 plus.
If people stop calling eating disorders a "secret" then I am sure it would help stop their feelings of feeling ashamed and guilty, etc., about telling their family, loved ones', etc., that they need help because eating disorders are just as much as a disease a endometriosis, diabetes, etc., are. Eating Disorders (ED's) is not solely about food it is about underlying issues/root causes, i.e., childhood sexual abuse, abuse, rape, etc. Studies have also discovered that genetics are involved. Here is a title of an amazing book that I would like to recommend others to read and it is titled, "The Eating Disorder Solution" by Dr. Barbara Cole, Ph.D., MFT. I run an Online Support Group and if anyone wants and/or needs advice, support, etc., you may contact through there. Females are not the only sex who struggles with ED's, males are too. Please don't forgot the children. There have been cases of children as young as 2 years old who are struggling with eating disorders. Eating Disorders are just not Anorexia and Bulimia, but these are just the most common that people have heard about. I wish good luck to those who are struggling. 118. How dare this little NOBODY sing JUDY GARLAND'S song (that's "Over the Rainbow" for those stupid people out there). That's like Kevin Federline saying he is Mozart.
She not only has an eating disorder, but a SEVERE BRAIN DISORDER if she thinks she can sing this song and do it any better, or any differently, than Judy Garland did. Garland sang it for 30 years. In concerts, in front of soldiers at training camps from World War 2 all the way to Vietnam, for the sick, the crippled, children, adults...Garland herself said that she felt the song was "sacred," and very important to her. At least she isn't around to see these little pipsqueaks ruining her song, snd turning something sublime in to a giant pile of garbage.

She is already a millionaire and her 15 minutes of fame isn't even up yet. If that isn't talent...I don't know what is. Of course, YOUR fifteen minutes of fame has only resulted in a b**** session on this board and has resulted in NO wealth.......sounds like Katherine is doing something right.....she certainly isn't saying unkind things about others, now is she? 120. Yea I mean Kat has a good voice...a very pretty and clearly well-trained voice. But I am glad she didn't win because she doesn't fit the criteria of a true "Idol". I think of an Idol as somebody with a warm, accessible personality with unlimited talent and versatility. Kat was not warm & accessible and by no means versatile. I mean yes she sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" beautifully but if thats the only song she can sing then who cares?? I saw Taylor perform live at the concert and he played like 5 instruments, sang, danced and literally just stole the entire show. The right person won.

As for Kat's bulemia...It's sad, it may be true.. but I honestly think this whole "coming clean" deal is just a way for Kat to steal a new form of limelight after her "idol glimmer" fades. I swear..half the anorexic girls in Hollywood are just trying to get attention.. its either gain a lot of weight or lose a lot of weight.. you're bound to get noticed.

I'm a bit dissapointed that Kat left the tour...maybe she had voice problems and maybe she didn't but that must have been a serious let down for her fans.
