ALBEIT SHE IS IN HER BAKCYARD. IT JUST AMAZES ME HOW STARS HAVE TO PUT ON A SHOW AND THEN WANT TO BE JUST NORMAL FOLKS. NORMAL IS GOOD AND GRUNGE IS GRUNGE BUT ACCPET WHO YOU ARE. BABS ALWAYS THOUGHT SHE WAS BETTER THAN MOST. TO EACH THEIR OWN. AND MAYBE WE CAN ALL LEARN THAT EVERYONE HAS BAD DAYS WITH OR WITHOUT MONEY.

64. you should feel like a piece of shit talking about barbara like that, considering she's an elderly lady now. Maybe it's funnier to talk about britney spears' double chins, but she's a lot younger. you should have some respect for older ladies. What could she have to care about staying in mint condition for now? Geez, atleast find something else to talk about that won't make you look like you carry no values.

69. Love her anyway I can get her....movies, c.d's or live in concert. Have tickets to attend FIVE of her upcoming shows ......she's the best singer in the world (now that Judy's gone) and everyone better appreciate her while she's still on this earth to perform live for you. Your kids and grandkids will listen to her music and only wish they could have seen her perform live. As Barbra herself has said: "There's perfection in inperfection".

72. The woman is old enough to be on Medicare or at least Social Security (62 yrs old min.) & should be allowed to relax as she sees fit. Does your Grandma wear juicy? At last Streisand didn't starve herself into a rib-revealing walking cadaver as do the majority of today's starlets. As noted above, Barbra rose thru sheer talent, slightly plain appearance notwithstanding - where would almost ANY of modern "it" girls be sans plastic surgery?

After all the 'new house' she is building is on her Malibu property & who knows where the photographer was. Why shouldn't she be comfortable walking around her own 'back yard',

74. The glee people take in cutting down someone else's appearance is so sad. Where do you people live, Never Never Land? For those of you not over 40 yet, let me give you a clue--sometime around that age, you start to lose family members and a few friends. You realize there are a lot more important things in life than what you look like. And you truly, if you are gaining any wisdom, do not care so much what people think (if you ever did). And for women, the fact is, gravity is inevitable for those parts of the body that aren't muscle but simply fat tissue-- and succumb to gravity when you age. You get tired of having to wear bras that push your breasts up as if you were 20 years younger. They cut off the circulation in your lymph nodes (your body's filtration system) and it's just such a RELIEF to take the thing off at the end of the day, and you really don't look forward to putting it on. I totally understand her look in those pictures and I'm only 46.

I think Katharine Hepburn set the stage for this kind of confidence-- she knew she was one of a kind, unlike anyone else of her generation in Hollywood, and she saw the people who expected her to go grocery shopping or swimming looking like a movie star for the fools they were.

75. Let's get the facts straight, shall we............First off......the house that is being built is on her property. She has a very large plot of land overlooking the Pacific and she doesn't have to leave her house to go to the constuction site, she walks out her front door to get there.

She's supervising the construction of her home......something she's paying for. I think that's terrific that she's got the tape measure in her hand. Making sure everything is the way it's supposed to be is the way you do things correctly.

These pics were taken earlier this week, when LA was going through it's record breaking heatwave. As you can see in the pics, her construction crew is in shorts, and so is she. What's the issue? Is she supposed to sit around in her best Donna Karan gown? Her hair is pulled up away from her face and neck. I assume she did that because it was so frickin' hot this week. And, even if it wasn't........as I type this, I'm sitting here in my sweats.......not a tux.

Barbra is probably wearing those shorts and that top, because it's comfortable.

Yes, Barbra did say in 2000 that she was not going to do any more concerts. Look how many times Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner and others said the exact same thing. She changed her mind. What's the big deal? People do that all the time in life. When you're an artist and you've got those creative juices constantly flowing, you can't simply turn them off like a water faucet. That's impossible. A large portion of the proceeds from the concerts is going to charity. Yes, Barbra will make millions from the tour. We are all motivated by money.......that's human nature. She'd be a fool to turn down that kind of money.

Yes, there was some talk that some disgruntled fans are suing Barbra since she said back in 2000 that she wasn't going to perform in concert again. I'm sure it's all ready been thrown out of court. Should I sue my parents because they told me Santa Clause was real?

Barbra just turned 64 a few months ago and seeing those pics proves that she looks like she's supposed to. Why is it that when a woman ages, people constantly make snide comments about them. Yet, when a man ages.........no one says a word.

Thank goodness we have celebrities like Barbra Streisand who can use their celebrity to their advantage and educate the general public about human rights, AIDS awareness, tolerance, global warming and other very important matters.

Someone on this blog wrote that Barbra is never content and she always thinks the grasser is always greener somewhere else. Did she tell you this?

I've never understood why people love to bash Barbra and strong women? If Barbra were a man, and these pics were taken.......no one would say a thing. If a man is assertive and aggressive........he's called a go getter.........if a woman does it.......she's a B**CH.

When people write this sheer nonsense, you can't even justify that stupidity with an answer.
