Gibson's Anti-Semitic Tirade -- Alleged Cover Up

EXCLUSIVE: MEL GIBSONTMZ has learned that Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps.

TMZ has four pages of the original report prepared by the arresting officer in the case, L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy James Mee. According to the report, Gibson became agitated after he was stopped on Pacific Coast Highway and told he was to be detained for drunk driving Friday morning in Malibu. The actor began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d." Law enforcement sources say the deputy, worried that Gibson might become violent, told the actor that he was supposed to cuff him but would not, as long as Gibson cooperated. As the two stood next to the hood of the patrol car, the deputy asked Gibson to get inside. Deputy Mee then walked over to the passenger door and opened it. The report says Gibson then said, "I'm not going to get in your car," and bolted to his car. The deputy quickly subdued Gibson, cuffed him and put him inside the patrol car.

TMZ has learned that Deputy Mee audiotaped the entire exchange between himself and Gibson, from the time of the traffic stop to the time Gibson was put in the patrol car, and that the tape fully corroborates the written report.

Once inside the car, a source directly connected with the case says Gibson began banging himself against the seat. The report says Gibson told the deputy, "You mother f****r. I'm going to f*** you." The report also says "Gibson almost continually [sic] threatened me saying he 'owns Malibu' and will spend all of his money to 'get even' with me."

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

The deputy became alarmed as Gibson's tirade escalated, and called ahead for a sergeant to meet them when they arrived at the station. When they arrived, a sergeant began videotaping Gibson, who noticed the camera and then said, "What the f*** do you think you're doing?"

A law enforcement source says Gibson then noticed another female sergeant and yelled, "What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?"

We're told Gibson took two blood alcohol tests, which were videotaped, and continued saying how "f****d" he was and how he was going to "f***" Deputy Mee.

Gibson was put in a cell with handcuffs on. He said he needed to urinate, and after a few minutes tried manipulating his hands to unzip his pants. Sources say Deputy Mee thought Gibson was going to urinate on the floor of the booking cell and asked someone to take Gibson to the bathroom.

After leaving the bathroom, Gibson then demanded to make a phone call. He was taken to a pay phone and, when he didn't get a dial tone, we're told Gibson threw the receiver against the phone. Deputy Mee then warned Gibson that if he damaged the phone he could be charged with felony vandalism. We're told Gibson was then asked, and refused, to sign the necessary paperwork and was thrown in a detox cell.

Deputy Mee then wrote an eight-page report detailing Gibson's rampage and comments. Sources say the sergeant on duty felt it was too "inflammatory." A lieutenant and captain then got involved and calls were made to Sheriff's headquarters. Sources say Mee was told Gibson's comments would incite a lot of "Jewish hatred," that the situation in Israel was "way too inflammatory." It was mentioned several times that Gibson, who wrote, directed, and produced 2004's "The Passion of the Christ," had incited "anti-Jewish sentiment" and "For a drunk driving arrest, is this really worth all that?"

We're told Deputy Mee was then ordered to write another report, leaving out the incendiary comments and conduct. Sources say Deputy Mee was told the sanitized report would eventually end up in the media and that he could write a supplemental report that contained the redacted information -- a report that would be locked in the watch commander's safe.

Initially, a Sheriff's official told TMZ the arrest occurred "without incident." On Friday night, Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told TMZ: "The L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigation into the arrest of Mr. Gibson on suspicion of driving under the influence will be complete and will contain every factual piece of evidence. Nothing will be sanitized. There was absolutely no favoritism shown to this suspect or any other. When this file is presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney, it will contain everything. Nothing will be left out."

On Saturday, Gibson released the following statement:

"After drinking alcohol on Thursday night, I did a number of things that were very wrong and for which I am ashamed. I drove a car when I should not have, and was stopped by the LA County Sheriffs. The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person. I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested, and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable. I am deeply ashamed of everything I said. Also, I take this opportunity to apologize to the deputies involved for my belligerent behavior. They have always been there for me in my community and indeed probably saved me from myself. I disgraced myself and my family with my behavior and for that I am truly sorry. I have battled with the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse. I apologize for any behavior unbecoming of me in my inebriated state and have already taken necessary steps to ensure my return to health."

6526. Mel Gibson is no more different than the rest of the Hollywood Rat Suits..He just got caught saying it out loud...and to the Police (how dumb is that?). Most of Hollywood's Upper Crust thinks the same, they just know how to hold their liquor. Anti-Semitism, Bigotry, Sexism, Ignorance and Lack of Common Sense is rampant in Hollywood. Mel's no different than any Joe Schmoe on the corner, especially in California's Hollywood La-La Land.

6527. OK, the guy said some nasty things. "Let he who has not sined cast the first stone." Isn't that what the "Bible" says? There are a lot nastier things going on in the world right now; like a country called Iraq where people have no clean water or electricity; where young and middle-aged Americans are dying for an unclear reason; there are people in Africa starving and being butchured for having the wrong religion. Enough on Mel Gibson's drunken racial slurs. If you want to go fight; sign up and go over and kill some Al-Queida terrorists in Afghanistan.

6528. How would YOU like to have YOUR very worst moment up for media grab? Most everyone has done something that they would not be so proud of...particularly while drinking...give the guy a break!

6529. Hey, i assume that Mel is the one and only person that has screwed up this bad huh? What in the world ...... . If this world and everythings in it doesnt make you sick once in a while then you must not have a heart. We all slip, and fall and get back up again. Each and every one of us have made racist and hateful comments in our lifetimes. And most of us were never cought or were never exploit worldwide. I am not saying that what Mel did and said was Okay. Do you have the right to throw the first stone? NO you dont. The only one that could have thrown the first stone would have been only Jesus. God tells us to stay behind the Jewish People and Nation, because they have a covenant with HIM. We should back them up. I agree with God and at the same time it is very hard to do so. They have rejected Jesus. So yes, i can understand why someone with heart would loose it once in a while in this crazy world. So see MEL, there is nothing that hasnt been done allready under the sun. Yours was just dragged worldwide. Do not stop what God is doing through you. HE Himself says "All is Well". Keep up the good work. Get up and dust yourself off and try again.

6530. Just reading through some posts after reading the latest Mel story here today and I am too flabergasted to not respond. To those with the attitude of don't believe everything you read on the Internet, kudos to you. If we did believe it all, there'd be a lot of celebrities really strongly disliked and have washed up careers. To those throwing around the rest, HOW can you all sit there in judgement of Mel's rants when the comments you are making about him are no better and some are even worse?? You say to Mel regarding his rants, "Take the plank out of your own eye before you try to take the spliter out of someone elses" and things like that, but what are you all saying and doing to Mel here? SAME thing and some I have read, even worse. Kind of hypocritial on everyone's part saying those things, isn't it? I just have 2 things to say - don't believe all you read on the Internet even if they supply you "proof" that hasn't even been proven at all, and to Mel - You are lot more handsome without that scruffy long beard! Forgive and you will be forgiven - especially when the so-called facts are not substanciated. Have a great fall day!

6531. What he did was absolutely wrong; however, I am happy that he owned up to his conduct and apologized. He obviously has both issues and the disease of alcoholism.

I'll still see his movies.

6533. For me , it's not about judging Mel Gibson's behavior. He is the best and sole judge of that. His best contribution to himself, his family, his colleagues, all of us, would be to really take that "soul-searching" he says he's going to do to a level he's never been before and do some REAL changing. The ball is totally and ONLY in his court now. He did what he did because he knew it was the only way he could really get his own attention......and that was by making his own inner conflict so very public. He's toast (and he knows it) if he doesn't radically have that "come to Jesus meetin'" with himself. You can do it, Mel, but it'll take all the guts you've got becuz that kind of changing does! THere are a lot of silent supporters of you that wish you the best in this most difficult endeavor!

6534. So what if Mel Gibson is anti-semitic ? What is the big deal ? Christians, Arabs, and Jews are all descended from Abraham, We are all Semites you idiots ! As Anwar Sadat said in one of his last interviews when asked if he was anti-semitic - he laughed and said " this was a phrase created by the West as a threat that has no meaning. Arabs and Jews are cousins, I myself am a semite. " And besides with the way things are going in the middle east - they are the cause of all the problems there ! Here is a little religious definition that is food for though :
In a religious context, the term Semitic can refer to the religions associated with the speakers of these languages: thus Judaism, Christianity and Islam are often described as "Semitic religions," though the term Abrahamic religions is more commonly used today. A truly comprehensive account of "Semitic" religions would include the polytheistic religions (such as the religions of Adad, Hadad) that flourished in the Middle East before the Abrahamic religions.

6535. Heres a thought.

God's love for Mr Gibson is in no way any different since his drinking and driving arrest and Anti-Semitic Tirade, than it was before or after the release of the Passion of the Christ.

The Passion of the Christ exibits Gods love for us. The brutal treatment Christ received, is what God suffered through on this earth, in order to buy us back from ourselves. (Less than perfect, sinful mankind).

Unlike man, God's love for us is unconditional, and extends to the most vile person you can think of. We are forgiven and accepted by God, not because of what we have done, are currently doing or will do, but because of what Christ (the passover lamb of God) did on our behalf.

Forgiven. What amazing Grace. He loves us despite our shortcomings, imagine if everyone on earth could love each other with this type of love.

6536. Mel is just a man. I have a relative who is an alcoholic. He is a wonderful man with a dreadful disease. He was sober, which for an alocholic takes a commitment that no one else could understand, for over 12 years and then relapsed for a short time. With alcohol, he's a man very few people would tolerate. He said things that would make a sailor blush, he spewed obscenities and racial slurs - -all things he had never done, nor would ever do while sober.

I'm not making excuses for Mel. He did the crime, he'll do the time -- or take whatever punishment comes his way. How many people apologize and admit their shame to the public -- and then take their punishment?

God bless you Mel. You're in my prayers for recovery and I admire the way you have handled yourself after what I know must be devestating to you personally.

Hang in there! Go to God, you may have stepped away, but He's there waiting for you. You, and everyone else who has fallen short. This too shall pass.

Love,
Laura

6537. Give Mel a break! He said what a lot of people think! Other actors are just too scared to come out publicly and agree with him because it may cost them their career in "Jewish Hollywood!"

6538. Regarding what was written in the Holy Scriptures, it was the Civil and Religious leaders, the Sanhendren, the Pharessee and the High Priest who brought about the conviction of the Jewish Messiah Immanuel Yah-Shua. The Roman Governor, Pilate found no fault with the Jewish Messiah. The execution of the Jewish Messiah Immanuel Yah-Shua was by the Roman Army. Gibson did not brought this out in his movie.

Notewothy: Judaism was a denomination of the Arronic Priesthood. They established the Rabbinical system identified in the Book of Revelation 2:9; and 3:9; called the Synagouge of Satan: ( A Reptilian Babylonian Brotherhood, a secret society also identified in the Book of Revelation 17:5;)

6539. Smel Gibson? Who dat?

6540. Okay, it's not hard to believe what Mel did he's human. He apoligized for his behavior no need to think the cop was telling stories. He admitted to having a brain fart due to his ALCOHOLISM. He can blame the alcohol it made him get in his car and when he was caught it made him RAGE. I'm trying to forget his famous name because money talks. I am more concerned about his disposition and if he was mandated to complete ALCOHOL and ANGER MANAGEMENT classes. He's a cute white male. What will he do next time? I think he should be treated as if his name was Juan Vasquez. I guess he was....ooch
