Vanessa's Back Door Man

Click here to return to TMZApparently Nick Lachey was longing for a little home cookin' last night, as he ditched his fancy Midtown Manhattan hotel room and moved up to galpal Vanessa Minillo's dee-luxe apartment on the East Side.

Nick had a meaty repast at Virgil's BBQ on his own, then went back to the hotel so he could grab his bag on his way to his lady love's lair. Vanessa, on the other hand, hadn't changed from her hosting gig on "TRL" as she descended the hotel's stairs in a fetching pink minidress. Nick, for his part, eschewed his usual T-shirt-and-jeans for a proto-athletic getup celebrating the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.



And when he arrived at Minnillo's apartment complex, he went in the back door, possibly to avoid the building's gauntlet of doormen, who reportedly aren't as enamored of the more taciturn Nick as they were of Minnillo's last squeeze, New York Yankee Derek Jeter.

76. Am I the only person qho saw the handwriting on the Nick & Jessica wall? I knew that once the reality show was over, the marriage just didn't have the stamina to go the distance.

77. I am happy that Nick has found someone. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Nick and Jessica together but she took his heart and ripped it out. She doesn't deserve him. I hope Nick will be very happy Vanessa and that she will give him the children he so despertly wants. Mark my words, Jessica will eat her heart and and realize she threw away the best man she will ever know. But it's too late. Jessica is sooo selfish. I am sure Vanessa is showing him what it is like to be loved back....Good for them! I wish them tons of happiness!

78. Well, they're BOTH screwed up! Nick isn't even DIVORCED yet & if I was Vanessa, who'd want some loser guy who hasn't even tied up his loose ends yet. As far as I'm concerned, if these 2 keep up this "look at me - no, don't look at me - we're together - no, we're NOT together" act then they deserve each other. THey're both so CAMERA crazy & DYING for any publicity - good or bad & if you ask me, they both suck! BE COOL STAY IN SCHOOL KIDS & don't date sloppy seconds. Celebrities live in their own ridiculous world! I hate MARY HART!!!!!!

79. Teeny, Vanessa is not African American. Her father is white (Italian, Irish). Her mother is from the Phillipines...similar ancestral background as Rob Schnieder.

82. Nick is gorgeous- let me just say that right quick. And Jessica is also drop dead gorgeous- so that means only one thing- they belong together. But.. since I'm on outsider looking in- who am I to say? Jessica and Nick obviously had to do what they had to do- regardless what we might think- so, we all just have to come to our senses and accept that. BUT... I'm not so sure Vanessa is right for Nick- either that, or we're just used to seeing him with someone like Jessica. Who knows- Vanessa could be a rebound, or Nick might really like her. Only time will tell, but until then- *fingers crossed* let's pray the two-some still in love gets back together... and SOON! :)

86. Vanessa is so beautiful, they look so cute together.
As far as Jessica, she did not want to be with Nick, so she should be glad to see Nick moving on.

87. I don't know where (or if) he went to college, but that's a UC jersey and a UC hat he's wearing, along with Cincinnati Reds shorts. I don't see any Redhawk gear on him.

90. vanessa is not for nick. she'll never be as good as jessica. it sucks that jess and nick are now divorced and she let her fame get in the way , vanessa is just a rebound chick for nick. i actually think him and jess will get back together and i hope it eats vanessa up...as for her being with derek jeter, he could get so much better and hotter all vanessa is good for is for ahem ahem....
