92. As to the DUI, I think Mel should be purnished just like anyone else regarding this matter. As to the rest, I think it should be left on "hold" until all the facts come out. Like what he said and what he didn't say to the arresting officers.

One thing is so correct, people like Mel are treated differently - but more by the press and the public than the police officers. If you or I was arrested for DUI, we would not be making headlines. Neither did the DUI that hit my husband that was a Motor Officer for a police Dept. - There wouldn't be so much stories going around (true or not), and all this excitment by everyone to get major Headlines either.

Mel was out on bail and $5,000 bail is not peanuts unless you think he should be charged a higher bail than someone else cause he is Mel Gibson? He was arrested, had to pay the bail to get out, and will have to anwser for his DUI.

As to his statements, I want to know the truth of what was said. I am sure most of it has been blowen up to make MAJOR HEADLINES AND SELL PAPERS AND GET HIGHER RATING ON THE STATIONS. For I wonder if this arresting officer would really talk to the press about this without first permission from his dept. And if he did or does - shame on him/her. For they are hired to uphold the law, enforce the law, and not become headlines on the local and national news when they do their job, and that includes arresting someone of the status of Mel Gibson.

Let them do their job, let Mel explain to the courts, pay what he has to pay for his action - and go make news headline on the things that really matter or should matter to us.

I am not saying "kiss this off" but let the system work. He has been arrested, booked, made bail, and will anwser to a judge regarding his action. Isn't that what our system is about? Unless you are someone like Mel Gibson, then the public and the news gets into it - and makes it a major blow out HEAD LINES.

Just wanted to say , Mel Gibson is a high energy actor, and he probably
is like the characters he plays. And his characters Rock. I didn't see the
Passion but Mel's got the passion and I think it's just fine to have a wild look
in your eye now and again. I for one get tired of the jellyfish mentality
that try's to bring us all to the same level and speakthougt of one mindset
if it's the mindset of the partyline.. F the partyline. Think for yourself.

All the anti-Catholic hate here is making me paranoid. The comments from the Jews are becoming freaking scary nasty.

Oh, and here's a story. I know Catholic girl who married a Jew (they had a Jewish wedding). The families got along great. He went over for Christmas (he only because his family is overseas), her family went over for the Jewish Holidays.

This went on, just....normal. Two families sharing their customs. That is until the couple had their first baby. He announced that now he had to raise his child in the Jewish faith, because if he did not..... his child would grow up to be an anti-semite. He forbade the girl from seeing the family and the kid.

I was shocked when I heard that. It was pretty insulting to the family, and he also succeeded in insulting himself if he believes he is capable of raising an anti-semite. I mean, what does it say about him as a Jew?

And it seems that it was not an isolated point of view because it is also apparent here in the comments, Jews really are suspicious and paranoid of ALL non-Jews, and truly believe all non-Jews are out to get them.

We're not. You just expect us to. And therefore think we ALL are.

And spare me the barage of....."I better study my history" and there are "valid reason for believing that" and all that crap.

Every religion has been persecuted at one time or another over history and still today. Too many dead to count.

You simply succeeded in making me paranoid about what you think of me now.

And the way the Jews are sensitive, you can't say a bleep about them without being labeled yet they can go around and say whatever they want about anyone, and no one does a damn thing. I give you a lot of credit for speaking out even if you had one to many and wether you ment it or not.. this is what America is all about FREEDOM OF SPEACH... don't worry we all have been there one way or another and said and done things that are hard to take and probably the worst part is when we did it sober... not only that we all have been pulled by cops for what ever reason and got let go of without a ticket, I know I have 6 times to count exact and I am not a celeberty nor do I give or support financially the LA Police Department... to all of you does that ring a bell...ring ring ring.... please don't tell me you have never crossed a line... take a deep look at yoursefl and do not judge since you are no better than him, me or anyother person that is on this world...
