92. Doesn't Mel have a lot of kids? Has anyone thought about the damage he is doing to them? Maybe the entire family needs some counseling and Mel's father should look at the piles of Jewish bones in graves and visit some holocaust museums around the country and Dachau, etc. I wonder what he thinks those are.

Just because you are a rich and famous movie star doesn't give you license to tell false stories about different religions. Don't forget, folks, he doesn't like the regular Catholic church, so he started a new one of his own. (I hope he doesn't start writing his own bible! Oy!)

As for me, until Mel becomes a normal (what is that anyway?) human being, this pocketbook will not open to watch his movies. Maybe he will wake up when his own kids are begging in the streets. We should all probably pray for this entire mess, as well as for the peace of Israel.

96. Mel Gibson is a Genius and a hard working aspect of the "Entertainment World." If the self-obsessed, peoples of the big cities think they are going to take Mr. Gibson down than they have another thing coming! Does anyone really think the Heart & Soul of America {or the world for that matter} are going to 'Quit Mel'? He is a powerhouse and we feel comfortable when he is on the screen and behind the camera. His movies Braveheart and The Passion have moved people to believe and hope for the Underdog(s) in history. Now that he is one, an underdog, we are hoping for his rise from this disease and triumphing over the storm that is/has been blown out of proportion. Maybe the man really doesn't like Jewish people...Fat, ugly people don't like me. I'll get over it and so should the Jewish. Being a Blue Collar elitist I am certain most of my class thinking, when is his next movie due? Sorry, Lemings of cities and media (Ms. Walters and everyone who is afraid of the big money industry spurning them), Mr. Gibson's career will Triumph over this (Unless the rumors are true that the Jewish "own" Hollywood then Jesus help him) and everyone can be clear on his true feelings of the debate. I'm certain The Passion was the starting point of the debate. To Christians it is an important part of our beliefs and it was a Horrific Truth we needed to see. Hopefully, people will focus on the real issues of Alcohol Abuse and Drunk Driving. There are alot of wars involving Jewish people...Israel-Lebannon. And so you know I have Jewish heritage and am apalled at the thin skin of every American that gets a verbal cap in the shins. Toughen Up. Big Babies. All the comments I scanned before mine pathos personified.

Any of you who can answer yes know what it means to not know what you're doing. Alcohol lower's your inhibitions, so that you might do something you wouldn't normally do. Thank you Dee for your comments. I think you really put it all in perspective. And brought up some really good points.

I was disappointed in Mel when I heard his comments. And that he was arrested for DUI. But then I thought, wow, everyone has demons, and a dark side - and now we've seen his.
I also think that his apology is heartfelt. Why would some not accept an apology? That I don't understand.
As for Barbara Walters comments - Wow. Really? She won't see another Mel Gibson movie? Isn't that a little rash? Is she now not ever going to see a movie by a Muslim?

99. Fine "Christian" example! Well, I for one do not believe the man is a Christian. He makes a movie about Jesus with unbiblical undertones and right after that he makes a movie called "Papparazzi" filled with all the lust and filth this world has to offer. He claims to follow a religion that believes they are the one true church and that they have replaced Israel and God's chosen people in bible prophecy. Truly Born-Again children of God know better--too bad the rest of the unbelieving world is blind to this deception. God will curse those who curse Israel and bless those who bless Israel.
