Lindsay to Be Questioned in Mom's Fraud Lawsuit

It's been a bad week for Lindsay Lohan. First she went home "dehydrated" from the set of her new film "Georgia Rule." Then the head of the film's production company sent her a letter chastising her for what he called her "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" behavior and her poor attendance record on the set. Now La Lohan has been summoned to be questioned in her mom Dina's court battle over a music deal.

Dina Lohan is being sued for fraud after signing her daughter to a record deal with producers Antonio Almeida and Mitchell Chait. Almeida and Chait claim that in 2002 and 2003 they helped Lindsay cut half of the tracks of her album "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen." The suit alleges tens of thousands of dollars were given to Lohan, but the star jumped ship and recorded the album with music mogul Tommy Mottola instead, leaving them high and dry.

Lindsay has now been subpoenaed to testify in this case, according to documents filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The Vegas duo is asking Lohan to be present at law offices of Costa, Abrams, and Coate LLP in Los Angeles on August 29, 2006, for an oral deposition.

Lindsay's reps did not immediately return TMZ's request for comment.

19. I can see what you mean, #2, and as a mother, it terrifies me that my daighters might grow up to have this trashiness "expected" of them. However, if we ignore this kind of scum, they will have to go away. By letting our kids buy their garbage, watch their shows, go see their movies, buy their albums, or buy magazines with them on the cover, we are feeding their machine. Businessmen don't give a royal shit if these are good people or good role models. Look at Pete Docherty, who I can't imagine ANYONE would call a good role model by any stretch. He gets airtime because people look. Let's stop looking and buying their shit. JUST DON'T LOOK. Chant with me: JUST DON'T LOOK, JUST DON'T LOOK.

20. Lindsay is so young, and she has to deal with the spotlight and fame. She has done so well, and people want to cash in on her money. It seems to me the mother is trying to watch out for her daughter the best way she can, that is all any of us can do...Lindsay out of all the actresses is definitely one of the cleaner ones, that is for sure!

26. This kid is headed down the wrong path and her mother should be the one to reel her in before she hits the end face down. Mom, do your girl a favor and stop defending her bad behavior and look at what will happen to her instead of looking at the almighty buck. She will have a short lived career if you don't.

27. This is why you don't have a relative handle your career, public relations, your estate, etc.

I don't think with her behavior that Linds will be around much longer...professionally. If she doesn't kill her own career her mother will.
Studios will stay away from people like that. Once you are on the black list it is hard to get off of it.

28. Linsday needs to grow up . She is a spoiled brat and her mother has never had never tried to teach her manners and how to respect others. Both her and her mother will get their just dues. They both need a reality check. She won't be around in a couple of years the movie industry wont take the way she is acting or her mother doing stupid stunts.

29. I'd say the apple has not fallen far from the tree. What kind of example is Dina setting for her "young" daughter who celebrated her 20TH BIRTHDAY during the entire first week of July, a fact that Dina seems inexplicably unaware of -- how can you not know how old your kid is (or conveniently keep referring to her as a 19-year-old, to make her sound "younger" and more innocent -- when the media has certainly proven otherwise). Lindsay has said all along her dad did nothing to "help" her career -- Mom is most definitely driving the bus.

But if Dina keeps arranging business deals for Lindsay and teaching her that it's OK to walk away from contractual obligations, it won't be long before that bus goes over the cliff and into the abyss known as "True Hollywood Stories". They are both Losers with a Capital L.

30. Lindsay's mom is off her freaking rocker, which I've discovered most mothers are.

She has no parental abilities, just greedy bitch ones!
