Mel's Moonshadows Madness

TMZ has learned when an allegedly inebriated Mel Gibson left Malibu's Moonshadows restaurant in the wee hours of Friday morning, he walked past the valet attendant with his head down, hands behind his back and uttered "I'm f****d up."

Mel Gibson
Gibson, who had not valeted, then crossed the street to his car, pulled out, made a u-turn and proceeded to step on the gas, driving past Moonshadows at a fast speed.

Shortly thereafter, as TMZ first reported, Gibson was arrested for driving 87 mph in a 45-mph zone with a blood-alcohol level of 0.12 (the state limit is 0.08).

The valet says the deputy who pulled Gibson over was actually driving in the opposite direction as the actor, but made a u-turn when Gibson flew by.

In Touch Weekly obtained pictures of Gibson partying with fans at Moonshadows hours before being arrested.

346. Dear Eva Ross,
Who sounded the bullhorn in the first place? Surely the accused would have wanted the story to remain within the confines of Malibu knowing that it could endanger his career. Which sector of society made a big deal of this anyway, giving it more publicity than it deserved. Who's the one SPREADING the seeds of hatred?

347. MEL GIBSON IS NOT ENTITLED TO DRIVE AND DRINK BECAUSE HE IS WEALTHY. HOWEVER HE IS ENTITLED TO HIS OPINION DRUNK OR SOBER. HE IS PROBABLY LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF AIR TIME. REMEMBER, SOMEONE SAID ANY PUBLICITY IS BETTER THAN NO PUBLICITY.

349. Those whores should be ashamed of themselves. They know that he is married and has children and they knew that the pics would be all over the media. Ladies you were totally in the wrong on this one!

350. What's sad is that a person that is in the media eye all the time can't f***up like the rest of society. I don't think that there is a person alive on this planet (except maybe Mother Theresa)who hasn't done or said something stupid that they've regretted afterward. Boy, it certainly is easy to cast the first stone. I find it sadly ironic that it's always the self-proclaimed "Christians", who always seem the first to point fingers and the last to offer forgiveness. Mel seems like a fun-loving guy who was out to have a good time. It's nice to see a guy like Mel having a good time with regular nobodies like me. It shows the kind of guy he is, one who doesn't think he's too good to party with just anyone. I can't speak for the rest of the world Mel, but you've just enhanced your image in my eyes. I also know how difficult it can be to quit an addiction and the fact you keep trying is proof of your character.

Hey Mel, so you made a stupid error, you apologized, now it's up to the rest of the world to forgive and move on!
Oh, next time party with me and I'll insist on driving you home!

A Loyal Fan!
