76. It is quite ironic that your site tmz.com just may be the new medium that knocks Cable and traditional TV media off the mainstream arena that America seeks out. Just as MTV did in the early 80’s. Hence Video killed the radio star. Tmz.com killed the traditional news stars. If you don’t do it someone else will, like Drudge, yahoo, google.com or youtube.com.

Here is the vision. Tmz.com sets up sites all over the U.S. and the world, just like craigslist.com. The people submit photos, audio and video to your site in their region and tell the news as they see it. They will link video from TV stations and from what they have filmed themselves.

I myself check my e-mail before I turn on the T.V. when I get home after work.

Just think of it you are not subjected to FCC Rules on the Internet. Plus you could sell advertising on photos, audio, and video to bring in revenue to support costs. Just keep it simple no 60 sec bullshit.

This is your wake up call tmz.com. I have help sites like Napster.com handle all the traffic with enterprise-clustered systems.

This Mel Gibson DUI case could be the catalyst that breaks tmz.com into the new media of the future. Take advantage of the millions of cell phones that take pictures, audio and video to add content to regional sites. Post them all and let the people decide.

People all over the world will be tuning into tmz.com instead of the local or national news to get the real story. After all it is photos, audio and video that tells the real story.

83. Yes this video is very boring, and unimportant. Big deal we all know Mel was drinking at Moonshadows.
Its time to let this story go die a quiet death. Mel Gibson has begun to try and undo the damage his words have done, now that he's had some time to think. If he is truly trying to make ammends then I would certainly forgive if this is done in earnest.

I'd love to see the really stupid people like Odie and Steph (there have been plenty of you) shut their dumb uneducated unitelligent rascist mouths. You're both idiots, and this story going on gives you the perverse pleasure of purposely writing your rascist and purposely annoying comments -that I'm certain neither of you would ever dare to say to anyone's face.

Follow Mel's lead- he said things he now says he really regrets- he's filthy rich, and doesn't need to work another day in his life. If he makes ammends he is a much better person than I originally thought he was when the story broke. He has some class if he follows through.

85. I found the comments in this particular article (link below) to be rather hypocritical and downright scary! Do you remember the outcry from the liberal community when the likes of the Dixie Chicks suffered slumps in sales after their anti-Bush comments? Everyone in the media was up in arms over the fact that the American public's reaction (by not buying records or seeing movies by stars who had publicly denounced Bush as "stupid" etc.) to celebrity comments was akin to censorship? Well, now that the shoe is on the other foot (and conservative Mel Gibson has made some idiotic remarks), Hollywood libs are calling for a boycott of him in the industry! "Let's make ourselves proud and NOT support this JERK in any way, just because he's a so called 'star,'" wrote Adelson, co-founder of Lorimar Productions, which produced such TV hits as "Eight is Enough" and "The Waltons" (from http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/local/states/california/northern_california/15183202.htm ). Gee, I thought libs were more open minded and forgiving than that. What about compassion for a man who obviously has a disease (alcoholism)? What about accepting his apology? 86. I think this is ignorant to keep up the bs about his obvious foulup. He is a person not a god. To add just cause he is a celebrity does not mean he will not get punished, he obviousley is being punished by all the "attension" he is getting by the media. Everything has two stories and if we dumb ourselves down and believe anything the media tells us we are stupid. Like the video....that was stupid. We should not judge anyone for what they appear to do in public esspecially since we dont know the whole truth to it. I will continue to watch his movies. He is a person.
