93. I DON'T AGREE THAT YOU ARE MAKING TOO MUCH OF MEL GIBSON'S TIRADE. HIS PUBLIC RELATIONS PEOPLE WROTE HIS APOLOGY AND IT WAS VERY INSINCERE, ASKING FOR THE JEWISH COMMUNITIES HELP WAS PUTTING THE BALL IN THEIR COURT INSTEAD OF HIS. HE DID WHAT WAS CLEVERLY BEST FOR HIS CAREER.
A PUBLIC FIGURE LIKE HIM SHOUL;D BE SNUBBED FOR BEING AN ANTISEMITE OR YOU ARE SAYING IT IS OK. IF HE SAID THINGS LIKE THAT TO ME I WOULD HAVE WANTED TO PUNCH HIM IN THE NOSE. HE HAS PRODUCED FILMS WITH AN EDGE OF ANTISEMITISM, LIKE "pASSION" AND SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED FOR WHAT HE IS INSIDE--A JEW HATER AND A BULLY.
MOST OF THE PEOPLE SAYING YOU ARE DOING TO MUCH OF A STORY ON HIM ARE NOT JEWISH. IF HE RANTED ABOUT BLACKS WE WOULD HEAR A HUGE OUTCRY BUT THE JEWISH POPULATION IS RELATIVELY SMALL SO HE WILL BE ACCEPTED BY PEOPLE. I CERTAINLY WILL NEVER PAY TO SEE A MOVIE OF HIS AGAIN. 95. The only reason he is receiving so much press on this is because he is a star. If anyone else (the common Joe) said the same thing "under the influence," you would never have heard about it, nor thought twice about it. I listened to some of the rediculous comments by people. It amazes me that so many have taken it personally and yet he has already admitted to have a drinking problem people! Alcoholics do crazy things whiel dirnking, however under normal conditions they are perfectly fine people. Are you about to tell me Jewish people don't drink too much at times, or act like fools when they drink too much? Maybe they just didn't have a cell phone taping them for the whole world to see at the time.

96. By the way, to add to my other note,....I also think he may have just been playing a "line" he had to remmebr in a movie or something. Actors play so many parts,...I'm sure when the brain is under the influence you never know what will come out. How many characters has he played? How many lines has he had to remmeber? You can't tell me it does' t all get a lil confusing at times.

98. I agree with most what's the big deal. if we watch them less and start watching
the things around world and home that matter there might be a better world. where people don't have to drink and take drugs to unwind. There might not be so much stress.

Your reporting on Mel Gibson has now turned to harassment. The only people that you are hurting is his family. I'm sure his family is devastated by what happened. Lets show some compassion and respect and stop the madness. They are innocent bystanders in all of this.

104. We have thousands of Soldiers and Civilians dying in the Middle East everyday. We are in the middle of rising inflation. We have heatwaves all over the country affecting peoples lives (especially sick, disabled and elderly). Child abuse is on the rise and we still have people affected by Hurricane Katrina without homes. With all this in mind, why does the media feel it necessary to exploit a weak moment in this mans life? He has never been anything but completely honest about his weakness for the drink. At least he doesn't behave like some of these bimbos who get their kit off in public and then wonder why the media won't leave them alone. He had a moment. Truth be told, we all have at some point. We have the luxury, however, of not being followed most of the time by these vultures called Paparozzi.
