8. Get a life, TMZ. You are being assholes about this and making the public feel sorry for Mel. Leave Mel alone!! He has MORE than paid his price for his mistake. Celebs have fucked up before and have said prejudiced things before but they NEVER have had to pay for it like Mel did. 9. I think that he should be made an example of and get the full sentence. Living all over Los Angeles I've personally seen much drug use and alcohol abuse by Hollywood celebrities and celebrity types for years. These people need to know that having a 100 million in the bank won't buy them out of a proper scentence. The days of people like OJ Simpson getting off the hook are over, as we saw with Martha Stewart. Hollywood breeds the worst kind of people and it should burn. Why cant we have people like Eleanor Roosevelt running the movie industry!? She was such a nice person.

Give the man a break...if he had directed any of the Harry Potter films or Lord of the Rings would this even be an issue....Christ was persecuted and now Mel is being persecuted just like many others in the bible that have done something for God and put out the word on being a Christian. 13. Do you really believe "this Mel Gibson incident" is news? With all the terrible things happening in the world right now...this is the headline! Get over it. Cover the bombings and carnage in Qana in Lebanon. The Israel vs Lebanon, Palestinians, Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria situation is what everyone should be addressing. This crisis is putting the entire World at risk. A drunken movie star who has a run-in with the police and shoots off his mouth. If this is how Harvey Levin makes his living...shame on him! Harvey, try covering something really important. It may not make you a lot of money, but at least you will be doing something useful with your life.

He WON"T get the max sentence.
Just some fines that are going to seem like he's paying the valet and the usual 12 step program he has to complete.

No jail time because the time he was in counts as time served.
