17. He is totally gay! Isn't it odd that he doesn't stay with any woman too long...and Penelope Cruz was with another gay icon (Tom Cruise) before Matt. The Hollywood press is at it's best. Why don't the gay actors just come out? Nobody cares...and the gay community would be so appreciative!

18. I ran into Matthew in Austin at a "bike & hike" park and chatted with him briefly about Og Mandino... felt like I was talking to someone I had been hanging out with for years. 21. Dear Jewish Community:
I don't really expect you to forgive me or forget the hurtful things that I said. But, I can at least explain myself and hope that this explanation will help you to understand where a tirade like this has it's beginnings. I write this as an apology and explanation for my outrageous behavior. I have since entered rehabilitation and plan to seek counselling when I get out of rehab.
I have lived with anit-semetic prejudice all my life. Since I was a little boy all I heard was my father railing against the Jews, seemingly blaiming them for any perceived failure in his life. He would blaim successful Jews for the woes of the world. I was barraged constantly with anti-semietic rhetoric. The world is well-aware of my father's feelings as he has been quoted by the press as saying that the holocaust was exaggerated. Believe me, this is HIS anti-semitism at it's mildest! I'm not "throwing my father under the bus." as I love him dearly. I'm just merely trying to demonstrate where this type of hurtful behavior has it's roots. This constant assault takes it's toll and evidently embeds itself in the darkess recesses of the brain. I can only assume that alcohol breaks down the barriers in my brain that house this hurtful history. Friends and associates alike can attest to the fact that, under normal conditions, I don't exhibit the least bit of anti-semitism, and I can honestly tell you that thoughts like that don't enter my mind. Please believe me when I tell you that I am truly sorry for the deeply hurtful comments that I made. I plan to mount an all out attack on the demons that compel me to seek pleasure in alcohol and have entered rehab and will continue to deal with the prejudices of the past in counselling. Again, my father is one of the most important people in my life. He has been a great father and is one of my best friends, but I think that it's important that people understand how prejudice can seep into a person's consciousness. Sincerely,

27. My friend has worked with him several times and says his body odor is horrible. Matt is a naturalist and DOES NOT use deodorant. He may be hot, but all you desperate and pathetic people will need a gas mask if you go near him

30. Matthew has a small ranch outside of my hometown San Angelo, Texas. We see him at WalMart. He could be my brother, he's so approachable. I wish he would take on more challenging roles.
