Bosworth Breaks Bread

Kate Bosworth"Superman Returns" star Kate Bosworth proved that food is not her kryptonite and enjoyed a girls' night out on the town this weekend.

Bosworth dined at trendy Hollywood restaurant Magnolia on Saturday with four girlfriends -- including pop singer Jewel and their stylist Jessica Paster.

For appetizers, the not-so-big-boned beauty had cigarettes and bottled water, followed by a heaping bowl of bread. Bosworth finished off the course with a wedge of iceberg lettuce.

Jewel, who was quoted in Blender magazine saying "alcohol really does solve all your problems," steered clear of any complications and ordered herself a cocktail.

17. Who cares what stars eat (or don't eat) drink (or not drink) sleep with (or not), show off their kids (or not), married to a gay guy (or not), had by-pass surgery (or not). We need to focus on our own lives and then maybe the stars lives wouldn't seem so damn important!

18. Maybe she wasn't hungry? Maybe she had something to eat before she left the house? I do that sometimes why not her?

20. Im lmao at the "who cares" comment YOU obviously cared, enough to read the article. Then you feel you can slam others for doing the same? grow up.

21. Key word - appetizer. Did they eat a main course?

22. She looks fine, for now. Leave the girl alone. She was probably just shy about eating in public. I get weird like that.

24. If you read the article it said "To finish off the course" which leads me to believe that cigarettes, bread, and lettuce were all simply the appetizer. Maybe the entree was cocaine and a rice cake!?

25. Everyone is so critical its ridiculous..
Maybe she was just going out with her friends for some drinks and they never intended to eat a huge meal? Why does everyone have to judge someone just because they happen to be thin?

26. Grow up you all. get a life. You all are just jealous. She's human.

27. To answer Kayla's ridiculous comment, we care about what she eats because it's people like her that promote this obscenely disgusting self image to young girls and promote eating disorders. My sister is borderline anorexic right now because she wanted to be thin and look like a model. She's gone from a size 8 to a size 00 and looks horrible. So, just because you don't care that girls everywhere are starving themselves to look like Kate Bosworth, doesn't mean everyone else has to share your obviously ignorant opinion. People like Bosworth, Lohan, and Duff are poster children for eating disorders, and it's disgusting.

28. Recovering from anorexia myself...kate's meals seem very much like my old habits as well as the habits of fellow anorexia friends. Its a wide spread disease among hollywood, her body is screaming for help and all people are doing is just gawking at her instead of helping her.

29. The media is confused...If this girl put on ten or so pounds, then the media would spotlight her as being fat. Everybody needs to get from underneath other peoples clothing and either get a life or get a a job that carries at least a slither of dignity.

30. She looks terrible--just skin and bones. It looks as though she is seriously unhealthy. If the camera adds ten pounds, just imagine what she looks like in person. This is very sad.
I had a good friend who died from anorexia in her early forties. It's nothing to be cavalier about.
