Inside Scientology's Biggest Night

John Travolta: Click to watchGather a group of Scientologists together for a party and they're going to talk about little else. Such was the case at the church's 37th Anniversary Gala, held at the Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles Saturday, with guests like Jenna Elfman, Leah Remini and Giovanni Ribisi gushing over the controversial religion.

Though Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were noticeably absent, Scientology power couple John Travolta and Kelly Preston were sure not to miss the annual event. "I've been a part of Celebrity Centre for 31 years this year," said Travolta, "so every year is a celebration for me because when I found Celebrity Centre I found my life again."

Travolta definitely enjoyed himself at this year's event and was seen breaking it down to the sounds of Chaka Khan, who was a guest performer.

61. I want to know why Oprah isn't doing an investigation. LRH has a strong past relationship with Jack Parsons (famous devil worshiper) and the fact that his -
L. Ron's personal history has been exposed - died with Vistril (anti-psychotic
meds) in his blood with an unkept body like Howard Hughes, but David Miscavige
told all the followers that he laid down "and gave up the body", his military background is a disgrace but all his followers believe he was a hero because they believe his lies...on and on. Oprah, there's a very big story there. Brainwashing - how to.

62. I don't care what people say about Scientology. I read a few books by L. Ron Hubbard and I found them fabulous, in fact they helped me in several ways in my life. More than anything else I have tried or read.

64. As for the woman who killed her five kids, I think you should pay more attentin, she was on medication, she was seeing a shrink. The problem was the so called shrink couldn't be bothered to fill her meds. I'm not a Scientologist but I did get a degree in Psychology and believe me today it's all about the pills baby, every doctor out there will write a prescribtion for just about anything you go in and ask for, and some even get kick backs for writing scripts for certain meds. As for ADD, I've witnessed myself in a doctors office, just by removing the sugar from a child's diet there is no need for pills, yet the parents take the easy way out, instead of changing the way they eat or feed thier children, let's just give them a pill to sit around like a zombie.

65. The simple truth is that Scientology is a TESTABLE religion. You try its classes, they (one hopes) you have the honesty to go apply the principles of ARC, KRC, Ethics, and Help in the real world.

The people for whom "it doesn't work" are those who pre-judge it, who refuse to apply it to improving themselves and helping others, or those who are persuaded to stop using it.

I see it as the "Instruction Book on Life."

66. Calm down, people. Where's the love? Group hug now. You're forgetting two very important things: humans can believe anything without regard to reason and celebs have egos as big as battleships. Put them together and - voila! - incredible stupidity. So why get upset with people, who make a living out of pretending, when they get involved in a pretend religion? Just turn them off and don't buy their products.
At least that's the way it looks to me from Giants field.
A little Kumbayah? ....toasted marshmellow, anyone?

68. Ok, I'll admit if you do some digging you will find that yes in deedy ol L.Ron was incahoots with the founders of the Church of Satan, The Golden Dawn and the Roseicrucians AND the Church of Scientology is now the owners of the island off the coast of Italy that was once owned by all 4 men.

So, sure ok, but if you feel better reading/following that sort of thing more power to you, if you feel believing the bible story {s} then more power, why does it always have to be that everyone believe the bible or they need to be killed or something...grow up it's a big big world and no one should be thinking the exact same thing nor acting the same way, that kinda would bring the whole "1984" thing into prespective don't ya think.

69. Tom Cruise and many others in this big world, have
not come to the real truth. Only a false type of truth that
they can be helped with by postive thinking.
But, the real truth is God the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said...."I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can go to
the "father" except through ME."
So we must commit to HIM and always pray in the Name of Jesus to
our Father in Heaven. He will accept anyone on earth who will trust in
Him and obey Him......
