Miss Jackson Gets Thirsty

Janet JacksonMaybe water from Fiji is the secret ingredient to Janet Jackson's incredible weight loss.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Janet Jackson has taken a page from the book of Madonna and Jennifer Lopez with her very specific demands. When Janet was scheduled to appear on "Capitol Breakfast" in England recently she sent one of her minions ahead of her to have a bottle of water from a spring in Fiji (not to be confused with Fiji brand water) placed in the refrigerator so that it would be chilled before she arrived. While that doesn't seem that bad, it was when she demanded the water be a certain temperature and insisted that the staff use a thermometer to ensure the temperature was correct that the demand seemed to get out of hand.

While it is recommended that you drink 8 glasses of water a day, making sure the water is a certain temperature might be a bit overboard.

61. i guess i'm the 43rd writer, and so far all i read was Player Haters, I really dont like the Jackson Family that much, but The media is somthing to contend with. They will blow sea water out of whack. I think she likes her water not to cold, to freeze the brain, and not to warm to make her unsatisfied. stop reading to much into it.

62. You gotta love the youngest of the Jackson clan. Come on, asking for something she can afford isn't all that bad. Who out there hasn't asked for something extravagant in the past? Come on, you've done it also, except not at the prices that these celebrities pay. If you're going to blame someone for making odd demands, think of the thousands of you and your neighbors who have bought their products and given them the money to afford these ammenities. Are we all to blame is what you might be asking yourself.

63. As the editor of http://www.RawFoodsNewsMagazine.com, I know how important the temperature of food is for preserving the food's digestive enzymes and life energy. (Enzymes are like three-dimensional puzzle pieces. When food is heated over 118 degrees Fahrenheit (and that includes all cooking methods except for a dehydrator set to less than 118 degrees), the enzymes melt, and can no longer fit into the body's cells to help digestion take place.) I've never heard anything said about water having digestive enzymes, but research by Dr. Emoto (see his books) indicates that water is alive. Then again, who knows if this news or gossip item about Janet Jackson and water temperature is even true.

65. Janet maybe getting the big head or this may be a lie. she is not the only star who make outragerous demands. Janet Jackson is a naturally beautiful woman and she did not need to mess her looks up by having plastic surgery. She has a beautiful mother and her father in his day was also a handsome man so she has some good genes and she never was fat. I like Janet even if she can't sing.

67. She is as crazy as the rest of the family. Maybe they should take their money and buy an island for the Jackson clan.

69. Yeah from like, 300 pounds to this, in what? 2 weeks? Yeah anyone with as much money that Janet Jackson has could look that good in that amount of time too. I mean, I like Janet too but the temperature thing was a bit overboard, I agree with Love celeb gossip about the water from the bathroom sink. And what's up with that picture? She looks like a psychotic Poodle!

70. i wasnt there dont know if its true! but does it really make sense that she would ask them to stick a thermometer in her water and contaminate the very thing she wanted pure fresh water?

73. You know, paper is a wonderful thing - it will lay there and let you write anything you want on it. I think this is something minor that has been stretched way out of proportion. Give me a break please.

74. Actually Janet had a point. As a vocalist, water temperature can greatly affect vocal quality. in fact after a while, when you are always singing and working out vocally, it becomes uncomfortable to drink fluids at extreme temps. If you were a body builder, would you soak your biceps in ice- water right before an event? She probably became aggravated because, people automatically assume you're ridiculous, it was a simple thing that got blown out of proportion.

75. There's a distinct possibility that the "suprised" look you refer to, in combination with the rapid weight loss, could be the result of Thyroid disease. I think that if this story is true, shame on her for behaving in such a manner. But all this water stuff aside, Janet has had a long and very successful career. She is a fabulous entertainer with the ability to woo the audience like few others. She's seemingly very warm, and should be aplauded for her successes. Her brother and his reputation could have caused her to loose a great deal, but she has handled her family tragedy with grace and charm. Besides, aren't we all just a little "different"?
