Celebrity Feuds
O'Reilly - Olbermann Feud Gets Ethnic

oreilly-olbermann-feud-gets-racialThe ongoing clash between cable titans Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly has officially been deemed offensive. After a Nazi gesture was used, the Anti-Defamation League has now decided to join the fight.

In a letter to MSNBC's Olbermann, the ADL states their "deep dismay" with the "use of the Nazi 'Seig Heil' salute." Olbermann used the gesture while holding up a mask of O'Reilly during a recent Television Critics Tour.

Olbermann was quick to explain his actions to TMZ, saying "I did that in the persona of Bill O'Reilly because he's been defending the Nazis at Malmedy for the last year." (The so-called 'Malmedy Massacre' of American POWs by German troops occurred during the famous Battle of the Bulge in World War II.)

The ADL, however, claims any use of the Nazi gesture "Even in jest - only serves to trivialize the Holocaust, and denigrate the memory of the six million Jews and others who died as a result."

Since their heated feud began, O'Reilly has referred to Olbermann - although not by name - as a "notorious smear merchant." Olbermann has named O'Reilly his "Worst Person in the World" at least 15 times.

18. I'm not particularly familiar with Oberman, but I know O'Reilly is a Conservative Sh*t bagger who would probably like to see a return of Nazism....its cool that he got called on it but I cant support using Nazi anything...I hate them so....

20. why does everyone throw around the nazi word so much. You don't think thats way over the top??

O'Reilly is fair and balanced. He presents both opinions and is a moderate conservative or traditionalist. Nothing wrong with that!!

21. Those on the left always use labels such as "nazis" because they cannot argue their point of view. If they had a good argument for socialism/communism, Russia would be a success and South Koreans would be fighting to get into North Korea. Right or wrong, conservative capitalism with powerful defense is the best way to run a country.

22. Oh F*cking PLEEZE socialist!!! Whiile I don't like Oreilly, tht liberal he is in no way shape or form taling about Nazism. To bad you don't know what Nazism it is all about because your party follows the Nazi line. War? Go read pages 270 to 277 of the Senate Intelligence Committee's report and then talk your horsesh*t about the war.

12. O'Reilly's opinions are on the verge of Nazism. If not right over the top. Unfortunately a good percentage of Americans agree with him... He is one of the masters of right wing propaganda. Is the wargasm over yet?

24. I think this article and your comments are all great to read and think about because the United States is about as Nazi as you can get these days.

So its humorous to hear about the lengths that your populace goes through to shun the nazis ("dont say the word") - yet in the rest of the world (a very big place) your actions are so near to the Nazis its frightening.

Your leadership might as well be Hitler, Goerbels and Himmler.

Thanks for the laugh. I needed that.

25. Both of those two are immature idiots. They need to get a life.

26. Yeah, Mike, your comment is outrageously stupd! Yeah, a good percentage of Amercians agree with O'Reilly, therefore, they agree with Nazism, riiiiight.

I'm Conservative, and I disagree with O'Reilly on most everything. And there are some (I stress, some) Democrats I like. He's not assertive enough when questioning extreme left-wing psychopaths.

Olbermann's show is lame to say the very least. He can't just report national events, he has to dog Conservative journalists and reporters. Mmm, wonder what political party he's under????

Just report your news and shut up.

27. It's funny how some of the morons on here think they know how a NAZI acts. Those that think Bill O'Reilly is a nazi needs to go back and relearn their history. You might not like how he handles himself, but calling him a nazi just shows how stupid and ignorant you are. The left is incapable of debating ideas and can only resort to name calling. Keith embodies the immature nature of the left. If you can't debate them on the ideas, just throw out names. It's why Keith can't muster more than 400,000 viewers at any given time. He should go back to sports where he originally came from.

28. Stand up guys like Tom Brokav?? Oh you mean guys that make up the news to persue their psychotic obsessions with President Bush...

Olbermann was just practicing his salute for Furer Hillary anyway :)

29. The above comments confirms O'Reilly's thoughts about the future of our culture. O'Reilly is fair, to both political parties. He is at odds with those that are on the extreme edges of the left OR right. We need someone like Mr. O'Reilly to help keep us aware of news that the mass media fails to print or cover. Those that oppose Mr. O'Reilly, should do a little research on what he does before they write something that makes them look so foolishly uneducated.
Mr. Olberman tries hard but falls short of O'Reilly. He gets too personal and that reflects on his character. He is better on the ESPN's Dan Pattrick show than on the MSNBC show.

30. While Oberman's comments may be a bit over the top, they are said sarcastically. O'Reilly's are for real. I'm glad someone is calling O'Reilly on his nastiness, besides Al Franken.
