O'Reilly - Olbermann Feud Gets Ethnic

oreilly-olbermann-feud-gets-racialThe ongoing clash between cable titans Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly has officially been deemed offensive. After a Nazi gesture was used, the Anti-Defamation League has now decided to join the fight.

In a letter to MSNBC's Olbermann, the ADL states their "deep dismay" with the "use of the Nazi 'Seig Heil' salute." Olbermann used the gesture while holding up a mask of O'Reilly during a recent Television Critics Tour.

Olbermann was quick to explain his actions to TMZ, saying "I did that in the persona of Bill O'Reilly because he's been defending the Nazis at Malmedy for the last year." (The so-called 'Malmedy Massacre' of American POWs by German troops occurred during the famous Battle of the Bulge in World War II.)

The ADL, however, claims any use of the Nazi gesture "Even in jest - only serves to trivialize the Holocaust, and denigrate the memory of the six million Jews and others who died as a result."

Since their heated feud began, O'Reilly has referred to Olbermann - although not by name - as a "notorious smear merchant." Olbermann has named O'Reilly his "Worst Person in the World" at least 15 times.

31. Bill O'Reilly, regardless of his opinions, presents himself as a mean and hateful man. O"Reilly believes his own press, a dangerous thing, and does not appear to have a sense of humor about any misstatements that he makes. Olberman is only serious about Bill when he does or says something dispicable, which unfortunately for the rest of us is becoming more and more frequent. O'Reilly needs to lighten up. Keith gives us a lively perspective on the news without the vitriol of O'Reilly. Go Keith. I love him

32. Bill O'Reilly has very poor listening skills. He is obnoxious, rude, arrogant, and thinks he has all the answers. He is an extremist, a fanatic and is probably a very insecure person deep inside. He probably wasn't even a good teacher in his old days in Miami.

GO KEITH, GO KEITH.....O'REILLY has become a miserable contentious force in the news world today...No one has a right to an opinion if it does not agree with his teachings...I was recently blocked from his site because i made a comment about Ann Coulter being a laughable individual...she is nasty and divisive..only interested in selling books...no principles...no scruples...I am now blocked from his site....that's even more laughable!!! So now I watch CNN..Anderson Cooper and Lou Dobbs...and YOU!!!!!!!

About Nazism.....I was a very young child during those formidable years of the 2nd World War, but i have never forgotten the conversations my parents were involved in everyday about what was happening 'on the front'. Just be happy that we, in America, are able to even discuss these matters. We may not all agree, but we are FREE! Let us not forget this and let the two men fight it out themselves . they will self destruct eventually!!!! We all have our opinions ..Let's listen! And i do agree with the gentleman who feels that O'Reilly does not listen to anyone, but himself. He loves to listen to himself talk. And YOU MUST AGREE!!!!!

For anyone that watches either show, you would note that Keith uses humor and facts to get his points across, listens to the people who he invites on his show, and calls it like it is with all of Bush's screwups. O'Reilly, on the other hand, is humorless, rigid in his approach to all things, tells his invited guests to "shut up" when he disagrees with them, and is an apologist for the Bush Administration.

Oh, I forgot, he's also a sexual predator of women who work for him.
Most recently, he blamed a woman for her own murder in NYC because of the way she dressed,,,, 18 years old, Saturday night out with a friend... he's disgusting... and should be fired. Better yet, boycott the advertisers of his show.

45. I love Keith Olbermann, love the attitude, love the snark, love the show. But I sure wish he'd take the high road on this one. O'Reilly shouldn't even rate a mention on Countdown.
