Welcome to the "House of Carters"

Nick Carter: Click to watchBackstreet's back, all right ... Well, really just Nick, along with the rest of the Carter clan, who will all star in their own reality show this fall.

The family has had a handful of hassles sent their way and will surely be a perfect addition to the train-wreck TV crowd. With former Backstreet Boy Nick's arrest for a DUI, sister Bobbie Jean's arrest for assault and their mother's arrest for breaking into her ex-husband's home and attacking his girlfriend, they could come out looking more dysfunctional than the Osbournes.

Despite all the negative attention, Nick is actually happy to get on TV and portray a different side of Carter family life. Nick tells "EXTRA," "We've always been the kind of people who don't defend ourselves necessarily, we just dust it off our shoulders," he says, "and now this gives us a chance to really show people who we are."

"House of Carters" premieres in October on E!.

46. 1. Nick doesn't have half a brain, he has no brain.
2. Yes Aaron is on drugs. Where have you been for the last 5 years?
3. Of course their family is f*cked up.
4. Of course it's not real. None of them actually live with each other.

But that's why it's going to be so good.

48. I, too, have met the Carters and they have faults like any family. Young people given the money and access they have don't always make great decisions, and often play with fire. Growing up in the business makes you wary of people and the one thing I have noticed with this family is that the one constant in their lives is each other. When they aren't sure of the loyalty of false friends or rainy day fans or even parents who didn't know how to handle children who have become commodities... these siblings are intensely protective of each other and have a bond that isn't for "show." The family didn't always have money and Nick more than any of them knows that a family is what you make it. I truly believe he wants to reconnect with his sisters and brother. Sure, it's great to get exposure and have paychecks offered to everyone in the family. The business is brutal and noone knows if you will be able to make a deal tomorrow. Whether you think they are has-beens, no-talents or think they are a family with talents and troubles. If you don't like them, don't watch.

54. Hey there had the chance to see the new TV show "house of carters" and must say it truly is what is happening today in our homes. these children are products of a dysfunctional family. With the oldest child (Nick) being the man of the house and trying to keep what is left of the family.due to the disastrous relationship with his parents. I am very interested and hooked on this new TV family. It is raw and real, you don't think with the success of Nick & Aaron, what issues could they face ,right?....very wrong. watch this show you'll see. Also there are some great shots of Aaron & Nick...I really love this show and like where it is going. It certainly will have my $19.95 for the DVD.

All the best

55. I am a long time fan of the backstreet boys. I have been a fan since the very first single. If you have followed their struggles and the struggles of the Carter family, last night's episode would have brought you to tears. I cried through alot of the episode. The critics talk about how they fight too much adn its not normal. Well, I grew up in a priveleged home and we fought just as bad. m y sister and I would fist fight. There is something wrong with you if you dont fight. This show portrays how conflicts between parents dont just effect the parents but also the kids. These kids have not been all together in 10 years. There is something wrong there. I am so glad they are getting to tell their side of the story. Good job guys!

56. As a mom of 5 who has also gone through a divorce, I found myself crying more than once during the first episode. My ex and II tried to do everything right during the separation/divorce process, but each of our 5 kids are damaged in some way because of it. My 3 daughters and 2 sons are now ages 22 to 28 but they all carry the scars of their security falling apart when their Dad and I split up.
I commend the Carter's for doing this show and pray that their family will heal. I will continue to watch it along with my daughters (my sons aren't interested). These kids need help, not cutting down.
Just my opinion-thanks for letting me vent.

59. Personally I don't care for the show, it's enough to make the average person crazy after about 10 minutes. I really feel for Nick though man, you got drama queen sisters that are annoying as hell, a punk ass brother, and a twit for a mom. I'd take my money, kick them the hell out of the house and re-gain my sanity.... Either that or institute a "I can bitch slap the crap out of you anytime I feel like it" rule.

60. Redneck teens across the country are still hot for Carter, a bloated hasbeen hack along with his twerp brother. LIVEWIRE predicts a lifetime of rehab, spousal abuse and future porn starring roles for these hacks to get back in the limelight.

The SHEEPLE are pacified by crap like this, as TV is the famous "idiot box". This nation isn't short on idiots, unfortunately.
