I'm Rick James' ... Ditch!

Call it Rick James' final impression. A massive two ton jet-black tombstone, bearing an image of the funk legend clad in tight pants, jacket and clutching a guitar, was erected Sunday at his grave site in Buffalo, NY. The grand unveiling marked the second anniversary of James' death.

The etching comes from a photo taken for his 1981 hit album "Street Songs," which included "Give It to Me Baby" and "Super Freak." The album sold three million copies and propelled him to superstar status.

Under his portrait are lyrics to an unreleased song:
"I'VE HAD IT ALL
I'VE DONE IT ALL
I'VE SEEN IT ALL
IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE . . .
GOD IS LOVE."

36. RIP Rick ! My favorite entertainer of all time. I get so tired of the masses only focusing on the negative aspects of someone's life. We all know he had demons but his talent was undeniable. His music was sooooooooooooo FUNKY ! I love the tombstone. What a way to be remembered. RICK JAMES B*TCHES !!!! The one and only. Punk Funk Forever !!!

39. I loved this man myself, being a native Buffaloian. There are lots of singers from here or have Buffalo roots. Aretha Frankin for instance grew up partially on E. Ferry St. here w/her grandma.

David Ruffin of the Temptation had roots here also and many more. It's just not all about the snow!!

40. This is not fake. I just was there yesterday w/a family member. People now have left ciggies and artificial flowers in pots w/syrofoam at the base of it. It's so awsome and eerie at the same time. He's back up in there deep!!

This mans music will live forever. Little kids know the music, and I mean little ones. He was one hell of a preformer.

Again...this tombstone is not fake. It's in Forrest Lawn Cemetary here in Bflo. NY. Get your facts straight please.
