Christina On Britney, Lance and Staying Dirrty

Christina AguileraDon't call Christina Aguilera Xtina anymore. The pop princess tells the latest issue of HX magazine "I thought that was a cute nickname for the last record, but now the character for this record is 'Baby Jane.'"

While Aguilera channeled Xtina when she shed her wholesome teen pop image in 2002, the former Mousketeer isn't getting all Pollyanna on us and proclaims "Sexuality will always be a part of what I do."

As far as the endless comparisons to Britney Spears, Baby Jane says "I knew that eventually our bodies of work would differ. I think she's in a beautiful time in her life right now - she's a mother, and I think it's great."

Christina also revealed she was "shocked" when she heard Lance Bass had come out of the closet - shocked that it was such a big deal. "When I heard of it, I shrugged my shoulders and said, 'Good for him!'"

So now with her more Hollywood glam look has Christina hung up her "Dirrty" leather chaps for good? Don't bet on it. Aguilera jokes "When I'm 50 years old, hopefully I'll still be able to get those suckers on." So do we Christina. So do we.

17. Her album is awesome, i just bought it yesturday, i've seen a lot of positive reviews like on Billboard Music, AMG, Entertainment Weekly, and Eonline, thats what made me want to buy it. I cant imagine a cd being better this year. go christina, looks like this is your year baby

19. I agree with Comment 10. Just because you have a new album doesnt mean you have to change yourself completely. Christina even began talking ebonics when her second album was out .... What is that about?!

I love Christina, either way. She has a beautiful voice and is extremely talented!!

I guess you cant' be surprised about Lance.but now that everybody knows,I bet the conservative people will be burning their nsync cds.I think it's fvcking hilarious that they had him acting so hetero and into girls while he was with the group.Christina,always has to make sure we all know what a freak she is sexually and then still be talented.we get it,your sexy and talented,no one would ever accuse you of being boring.Is it me or his her husband kind of dorky looking?just curious..

23. I love how she has a positive attitude on everything, which I think makes her very successful as she is... TALENTED and BEAUTIFUL. I'm a hard rock fan, but "Baby Jane" has ALWAYS been one of my favorites ever since her first album. For Britney, well, she'll never add to up to what Christina has to give. I tried to give her a chance when I bought her 1st and 2nd album.. and it's NOTHING compared to this "baby" from Pittsburgh. Much love, and good luck to all you do.

26. Christina has always been atalented singer. Although I am not a teenager It is clear to see who is talented and who got famous on looks. Britney unfortunately can't sing and was marketed for her then babish looks. Jessica Simpson is also a very talented singer who should not have been under the heels (trailer tennis shoes) of Britney.

27. #12- Lance was never on The Mickey Mouse Club.

I really admire Christina. She's way more talented, honest, and outspoken than most of her peers and her music contains way more meaning than most artists her age. I just don't understand the point of these Xtina and Baby Jane characters. It just makes it look like she's trying to create a gimmick for her albums instead of trying to be different and send a message with her music.

30. What's up with celebrities changing names everytime they come out with a new album. I can't keep up these days. I do like Christina's new nick name "baby jane" Hope she keeps the nick name this time. Also why is she wearing so much make-up? she is only 25, I think she should wear more youthful lighter make-up.
