Johnny Depp NEVER said he hated America. It was some German/International magazine/tabloid who said that. He apologized for that mistaken quote the magazine misquoted/mad up! He said he loves the states as that is where he is from and grew up. (Why don't you research before you accuse.) He spends a lot of time at his house in Hollywood when he is not in France or on the location. As far as the Bahamas go for his primary residence I couldn't say. I know he owns land down there & when they filmed Pirates 1,2 & 3 he probably spent a lot of time there. All I know is that he is residing in Hollywood for the next several months til he starts Sweeney Todd in London in early 2007. BTW, I think he is one of the finest actors that has come along in YEARS!!

I'm not American so I'm not entirely sure about your country but it seems that one can't dare to speak out on the way your country is run for fear of being run out of the country! Here in the UK people constantly insult our government etc, it's called freedom of speech. I don't see why Johnny isn't entitled to hold an opinion. And I happen to agree with him, by the way. Even if he was misquoted.
