I love living in America and I don't necessarily agree with any actor's politics, but I also have to say that I don't care what an actor's politics are, I'm just looking to them to be entertaining. And Johnny, no matter what he thinks about living in America is very talented, very sweet, and very entertaining. I think he's great to his fans and great in his movies and that's all I'm concerned about as far as an actor goes. He's a wonderful guy and entitled to his own opinions even if they don't agree with mine!

I must say that it's nice to hear that Depp stuck behind to spend some time with his fans, although, at the Pirates premire he spent literally no time with the fans, though bloom and knightly both spent considerable time before being dragged into the interview area and then both came back after to sign more authographs, so please know that the all are very wonderful people and the news has a way of making angles where they may not be. He have been off to an appointment. who knows.

108. RE: #95 comment, just to clarify.

Johnny spent over 3 hours signing autographs at the Dead Man's Chest premier in LA, right along with Orlando and Kiera. He spent so much time with fans, that the handlers virtually whisked him past the media (and they were none to happy about that) to get him in so they could start the showing.

In addition, he had spent the previous part of the day, before the autograph line, in the company of a Make a Wish Foundation recipient, the place that grants a wish for kids with terminal diseases, giving her a tour of Disney and the new revamped POTC ride.

I think he did right by his fans that day.

111. luckily, because so many of his films are geared for children and teens, Johnny Depp is someone to be admired. he isn't seen partying with other so called stars, he hasn't been arrested for drugs or DUI, he's not in and out of rehab, and he's not out cheating on his wife. He's a good role model for his younger fans, that is very rare in his line of work.

112. You people who are constantly making your negative comments about this Man, need to get a life! Who cares if he wants to live where ever he wants to live, who cares if he said what ever he wants to say. If you look at the way America is now and days, and the way our court systems are, the way little billy gets slapped on the wrist for big big crimes, the news is all about smut and trash of our country. People in America after 9-11 when that news stopped being on the news, Americans started screwing up there country again by themselves, when before we were all loving each other, putting flags on our cars and love america stickers on our windows, it is awful when we complain that someone might of said a negative comment about America, when most Americans do it in their actions. So I am sure that when he made his comment it is about the hypocritical Americans that say they LOVE their country.
I am an American and seeing that makes me sick, think about it, priests are molesting, cops are crooked, judges are paid off, everyones mom on TV swears that little billy didn't do it or it's their color, crooked people make the laws, if he see's it that way, so be it, he's aloud to say it, but because he is a star, making movies and has tons of fans/money, lets throw rocks at him. I believe all the gray cloud Eeyor/people that always wake up in life with a gray cloud over their heads and never see the brighter side of things have nothing better than whine about some comment someone made, needs a life!! The good thing is that JOHNNY has one! No matter what, God loves Johnny! All you eeyors out there need to be Happy God filled people, and quit making typical negative comments about people. When all he said is he chooses not to live in America because of whatever reasons, he's aloud to feel those reasons, he's raising 2 children, he has the money to raise them somewhere else. All of you who read this know how our country is goning downhill, imagine what it will be like in 10,15,20,30,40etc.. years, its scary. He feels that's his save place for his family. I wonder where my save place will be for my family? It is sad, where's the Morals of our Country?... I just have to keep praying. Whatever is left, there is always a demented person trying to change it. God Bless America, he needs to, we can not take those words away, we need to be blessed.

120. I don't listen to rumors & "who said what." I want to hear it from the person's mouth. I've watched Johnny Depp in interviews stating that he has never put down his Country, he loves this Country - but he doesn't like alot of what is happening here. He has been misquoted and at times things were made up, were completely false. He said that he has chosen other places to live where he can raise his family without the Hollywood scene and cameras spying on him, where he can live some kind of normalcy and have some peace in his life. Good for him, there is nothing wrong with that - it's very smart of him.
He has not had an easy life, but he has grown into a fine man, and an awesome actor. He isn't hurting anyone, and he is giving millions a lot of enjoyment with the films that he makes and the characters that he creates. Savvy?
At this time in my life I thank him for his talent which can make me laugh and/or cry, his looks which make my hormones spike up & make me drool, even at my age, and those mysterious dark eyes that show so much kindness within. God bless him.. after years of not caring to go to a movie Captain Jack drew me back into the movie theatre this summer -- 7 times. THAT takes talent believe me. Thank you Johnny Depp, keep on doing what you're doing, and as one of your Fans I will continue to reap the enjoyment that you give.
