31. I think this is just point blank the negative face of pure racisim. The dancing is african dancing, the local looked like New Orleans bayuo. At first I did not like the video but it grew on me. It was beautifully shot and people just seem to have this issue with the fact that beyonce went the route of her roots. The girl is black and proud of it. That is an amazing video and the fans who do not like it are probably fans who do not want to be reminded about african american culture. Maybe she should of had a bunch of crucnk dancers and dance lights around. then i am sure those people who do not like the video would be like that. put the blacks in their elements?????No she did a great video and that is all that matters.

34. OMG. I can't believe people have such a problem with the video. What's the issue here - that she bends backwards while holding on to her boyfriends belt buckle? I do think her album is good, I heard the leaks. But with all those other good artists coming out with their own cds around the same time you can't help but wonder. If we are going to start a petition lets start one trying to get jessica simpson to just give up singing..... I heard her album leaks and they SUCK!!!

39. #25 I can't friggin believe you said that. You just insulted Josephine Baker. That was ridiculous. Beyonce has arguably one of the strongest voices in the industry. But - please don't go there with the dancing. Please just don't. Everyone makes a so so album now and then. This is Beyonces. After an amazing run of specatular albums, she has made a so so one. Thats the reality of it. I'm sure she will make another one. I'm sure it will BLOW us away and she will come back stronger than ever before. She is an extremely talented girl. This is not her year. Jennifer Hudson will get the Oscar Nom for Dreamgirls. I've seen it. The album will do alright, but not as well as any of her others and for that she herself will see it as a disappointment. But she will come back stronger next year. She is not going anywhere.

Beyonce is the best R & B artist out there (along with Usher) and to remain the best she gotta push the envelope (like Outkast). Reinventing herself should not be interpreted as being subpar. Real fans should be supportive of her efforts and should be looking forward to buying the B'day cd as a b'day present rather than hating. Go gal.

PLUS... it's not that B isn't talented, I'd be a fool for saying so, it's that she misuses it so often. She can sing, she can dance, (she coulnd't act if her life depended on it, I'd love her to give that up) but this second album is garbage. That's what happens when you make an album in 2 weeks!

I totally disagree with #24. It's not Beyonce's fault she wasn't born poor. It's what u do with your life that matters ('cos that's what u have control over). We've heard & seen a lot of rags to riches stories to use being born poor as any kinda excuse. If you were smart as you want to sound, you would realize that Beyonce does talk about important social issues: "independent woman","survivor" (just to mention a few) were written by this talented lady to empower women. Sh can write, sing, dance, act and more importantly she's a philantropist (post Katrina disaster). If you listened to her recent interview on MTV, she's about the most eloquent female celeb out there. Unfortunately when you are that blessed its only natural that people are gonna hate. For those genuine fans continue supporting this artist because she's a rare one. Beyonce u really are an inspiration.
