Clay Aiken Goes "A Thousand Different Ways"

Clay AikenWhile many in the media have focused on Clay Aiken's off stage activities, Clay has been busy in the recording studio and TMZ has the new single from his upcoming record for you. The record, which will be his third release, is called "A Thousand Different Ways" and hits stores September 19th. The record will feature 4 brand new songs by Clay and 10 cover versions of well-known songs from the '70s, '80s and '90s, personally picked by Clay for the project.

Clay recently explained the record's title. "This is an album of love songs," says Clay, "but they are about all different kinds of love. Romantic love, Friendship, Unconditional love. There are a thousand different kinds of love; a thousand different ways to tell someone you love them. And, on top of that, since so many of these songs are covers, it's realistic to say that many of them have been or could be sung a thousand different ways."

31. I do believe TMZ has a fact checker, even though there is a segment of Clay's fans that do not want to admit what TMZ is talking about. There is another segment of Clay's fans that embrace him no matter what his sexuality is and just want him to be happy. The covers CD in my opinion was a horrible decision for gaining respect in the music industry, but his fans will enjoy the voice. Those not a fan are not going to be impressed, and the music critics will slam this CD big time.

33. Very nice song indeed. Hauntingly beautiful in fact.I am looking forward to hearing the full CD next month.

I like Aiken's new look as well....much more modern in my opinion.

Not everybody is caught up in the lies surrounding celebrities' lives, thankfully. Some of us can actually use our God given brains to see and recognize crap from opportunists or crazies. LOL

Clay Aiken is a talented artist and a person of integrity with an amazing voice, no matter what he sings.

37. So glad this site is including one of the new songs. It is just the beginning of a fantastic experience.

However, you really did not need to begin your article as you did. This is not creative and you 'reporters' need to stop beating the dead horse.

40. "elizabeth",

This is the same record that has been harolded by the inside of the music industry as "vocally and stylistically amazing". WY wasn't originally the single, but after several DJ's and industry bets heard the song, they recommended it as the lead single. And, to my surprise, RCA bit and here we are. Brand new arrangements by popular modern producers, John Fields and Eman, will surely attract new fans by the production, alone. I've also heard the 30 sec clips, and they do not disappoint. As always, it's only one person's opinion... But browse a Clay Aiken board and see if you can find the link to download the clips. Great stuff.

41. I am in agreement with "irritate". His 'off-stage' notable acts SHOULD be about his many many acts of charity and kindness. Why concern ourselves with the other side of his closet? He's a singer and I love his voice! I enjoy the talent God gave him. I look forward to the new album. Will definately be shopping on the 19th!

43. The folks posting here must not have the same taste in music that I do because of all the versions of this song that have been done this ranks at the bottom. That would include the drunk guy I heard singing karaoke at the bar last night. Speaking of karaoke is that where they got the music track for this "masterpiece." Bad material, bad rendition, bad production values just add up to really, really bad.

44. I could care less what Clay Aiken sexual preference is, as far as I know, he is and will always be one of the greatest singers that ever existed, and has a heart of gold and gives way more then he will ever receive from the media, he has helped more children with Autisim, and special children and do we see the press giving him credit, I don't think so! Rather then say a special child has been helped, no it is more important to say the mean things. Clay is here to stay, so get use to it!!!!!

45. When Without You was available for listening, it far exceeded my
expectations of Clay's control and range ~ the duet is beautifully
performed; this is coming from someone who thought no one
could match Nilsson's version -and MANY have tried. Clay certainly
"owns" this as he has done with so many in the past.

Admittedly, I was skeptical when I learned there would be
10 covers and 4 new songs on A Thousand Different Ways;
yet the snippets provided were there sucking me in again
into that incredulous voice, such a gift, a talented musical
instrument, that ATDW affords Clay the opportunity to
truly showcase what he is capable of.

I'm enthralled, raptured, excited ~ this CD is a must have
for car, kitchen, den, AND bedroom. heh. Truly a must
have!
