Depp and Bloom - Back in the Water

After cleaning up at the Teen Choice Awards, Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of pirates headed back to the Black Pearl after a summer hiatus from filming "Pirates of the Caribbean 3."

The cast of next year's sure-to-be box office hit are now back on the ship off the coast of Palos Verdes, Calif.

After filming wrapped for the day on Tuesday evening, Orlando Bloom made a quick escape by jumping in his car and heading out. While Johnny Depp, on the other hand, found time to say hi and take pictures with the dozens of fans waiting to see the actor through a chain link fence that borders the set.

It's pretty clear why Depp walked away with the two Choice Movie Actor awards on Sunday night in both the comedy and drama/action categories. On- and off the screen- Johnny seems to be everyone's favorite movie star.

123. I don't understand politics enough to know whether or not I agree with Johnny so never mind that. Otherwise I agree he is an amazing actor and it's great to hear that he's generous enough to really make time for his fans. Kudos to you Johnny. I heard that they were originally planning for Jack Sparrow to be more of a Long John Silver-type character which makes me love Johnny's portrayal of him even more! If Jack were just an ordinary pirate, I know the movies wouldn't be anywhere NEAR as successful as they are. Johnny has a way of taking a movie that would've most likely bombed and turning it into a big hit! Like Johnny said in the July issue of the Rolling Stone, "Pirates had all the markings of a nightmare. I dunno why I said 'yes'." Even the people at Disney didn't think the idea looked to promising. But oh how wrong they were! If that's not talent, I dunno what is!
